Initially I was a little disappointed with Microsoft's announcements, we knew most of what was going to be shown from last years E3.

The new 360 model looks nice however its nothing really new when you think about it. The 360 Arcade i got back in 2008 to replace my launch console has HDMI, its piratically silent and has a nice 250gig drive as i'm sure you all know ;) It is also it is compatible with all existing accessories.

Dont get me wrong though if for what ever reason I was buying a new 360 and only had a 20gig drive i'm sure I would end up with the new 360 model.

One thing for sure is im sure the new 360 will put an end to people modding DVD drives and hard drives in the near future.

At first I wasn't that impressed with Natal, however I watched the Microsoft E3 press conference online this afternoon and realised it actually is quite an amazing bit of kit, I still don't think I would buy it as I soon see the novelty of the games wearing off... however it has my interest for now.

Gears of War 3 - finally 4 player co-op, also looked nothing short of amazing to me (Y)

I didn't watch the conference just read about it. I kinda of like the new slim model, and you're right it will kill piracy quickly. But I might buy one just so I can play online with it. I will not purchase Natal (or whatever the hell they call it now), because I can't stand motion controls. I don't like trying to make motions to play my game, I rather just use a controller and enjoy it from the comfort of my seat.

Gears of War 3 sounded awesome though, can't wait for it (H).

But pretty much yeah it wasn't anything special |-).

Nintendo's was decent, I like all the new games to the classic franchises. And the 3DS sounds somewhat interesting, but they didn't show any actual gameplay of it, so in those regards I wish I was there to actually try it..

E3 seems okay this year :D.

I am sure true pirates will find a way to be able to mod the new xbox 360! We all know that pirates like free stuff, so why won't they be able to mod this one?

True. The new slimmer Xbox has just a few updates like the smaller HDD which is built-in, its Kinect ready (requires no power source to connect "Kinect") and the new touch sensitive button was a good add and is cool.:)
However the two more USB ports and built in WiFi should have long been added since these are basic stuff without which the console feels so outdated.8-) It would be even better if the new Xbox supported Blu-Ray which being absent is such a downside :(

Modding the new Xbox might be even harder now, but must wait and see how pirates can find loop holes to get the thing modded.

Kinect being a new concept, I guess should be given more time to judge it and how well the games can make use of it.*-)

Most of the new games seemed awesome! My fav. are Assassin's Creed Brotherhood and COD Black Ops. Looking forward for both.(Y)

Overall it was quite exciting but not so much so as we expected.

I thought Microsoft's press conference went fairly well. Nothing too surprising other than the new Xbox 360 model. I really enjoyed Nintendo's conference and was positively bored with Sony's conference. Most of the E3 announcements came out about a month ago, so people already had an idea of what to expect. I personally don't like when companies an developers reveal their announcements before E3. It takes the surprise factor out of the whole convention.

Looking forward to Gears of War 3 and Halo: Reach of course ;). There were honestly close to 50 games that were shown that I really want and too many to list here. One that I was absolutely taken with was the game Rage which is being developed by id software and published by Bethesda. Hard to say what was best about E3 so far, but I don't think it was as good as previous years. Still, 2010 and 2011 are easily shaping up to be the best years for gaming. There goes all of my hard-earned money ;).

Too many good Xbox games announced, I don't have time to finish the ones I have, yet Crackdown 2, Gears of War 3, Halo Reach are already 3 I know I'm going to own by Christmas.
