Does anybody remember Bigtrak from the 70's ?? For those that dont it was a cool programmable futuristic that looked a bit like the Mako in Mass Effect You could also get an optional trailer too This was THE toy to have when i was a kid ... and consequently i never had one until i was too old to fully enjoy it BUT... Now they are re-releasing it in a couple of months , no major changes same controls ... I am Happy .. gotta get me one This toy was also featured in the background of the ET film http://www.bigtrak2010.co.uk/ Check out an old ad Must have toy i think Slim
This thread is useless without links to the new release! Interesting though, don't really remember it that much, maybe cause I was too busy playing with Lego's at the time
I bet in the 70's / 80's that was amazing, it looks to have been released a long before I was around which is probably why I don't remember it! if i had known about that as a kid I would have wanted one! It was all about Lego when I was growing up, I had the Lego Mindstorms robot kit that you could program with your PC.
Lego Mindstorm is relatively new compared to the wonders of the early 80's. But even still Lego was "THE" toy to have when I was a kid and this was a time even before Technics. Besides, Lego's that could be programmed via a PC at the time of Bigtrak wouldn't have worked as PC's were still new, think Commadore, Atari, Sinclair, Apple I. My kids would absolutely love this, hope it's released in more countries than the UK.
