I ordered Mercenaries 2. At first I was thinking of downloading the game first, but since it might take some time to crack I decided to just buy it. I noticed the PC version is actually €20,- cheaper than the PS3 and Xbox360 version. must be in the hope people will actually buy it and not just download it, like people do with most PC games these days.

If I remember right console games did used to be about £30 (unless that was just GameCube games) and PC games around £25 then when the 360 was released £10 was added on to the price. Console games do generally cost a bit more because the console manufacture takes a certain percentage earned from the game sale.

£219.99 - Remember its pre-orders the money doesnt get taken out all at once

These games are all released over the next 3 months so thats 3 pay checks to cover the costs!! So its no loss :)

I Would never spend that much on a game in one whole Bulk no way!! much better things to buy

As I’m in the process of building a media centre which has a Blueray/HD-DVD combo drive in I took advantage of the super low prices HMV is now selling HD-DVDs for.

Full Metal Jacket: Special Edition £2.99
    16 Blocks £2.99
    Oceans 11 £3.49
    Oceans 12 £3.49
    Oceans 13 £3.49
    Space Cowboys £2.99
    Shaun Of The Dead £2.99
    Poseidon 2.99

You can’t really go wrong with 8 HD films for just a few £ more than 1 Blueray film.

The standard DVD versions of most of these films costs more ;)

    I got the Philips Power2go.

It's basically a big battery, which you can use to charge your phone/iPod and with a bigger, more expensive Power2go even your laptop, while you're on the road. It comes with a cable and connectors. You can plug it into your USB port to charge it and fully charged, it has 30 hours of power. There are also connectors for each phone, Nintendo DS, USB, mini-USB, etc. added so you won't have to bring all your cables. Too bad my phone model uses a different connector from the Samsung one they put in there. Probably an older model.. Still, it's nice to know that when your iPod runs out of power and you're in the plane/another country/whatever, you can easily charge it a couple of times.

The Power2Go looks really nice, is it possible to get connectors for different mobile phones?

You could also plug one of them USB lights in to the USB port I guess and make a quite powerful torch that would last for 30 hours! Not bad if there is a power cut or something.

It looks to be £40 over here, however the 60 hour version was £120, you would be a lot better buying 2x 30 hour versions If you wanted one that lasts longer. Ill remember this little device in case I need anything like that sometime.

I think you can order other connectors as well, yeah. But I can just use the cable to connect my mobile to my computer to charge my phone so it's no big deal.

At the moment I'm trying to find out how many times it can charge my iPod before it's out of power. I keep draining my iPod untill it's completely out of power and then connect it. Takes a while for the battery to drain though, but playing games on it helps. I'll let you know once I finish my little experiment.

Your USB light idea is pretty good btw, I should remember that.
