those gamers planning to buy Battlefield 3 on the Xbox 360 will be able to voluntarily install a hi-rez texture pack, producer Patrick Liu has confirmed. It'll sit on that version's second disc, and will operate in a similar way to RAGE's install. "There’s a voluntary install on the 360," Liu stated. "I think RAGE did it as well, where you can install content to stream higher res textures. I read this as been on PC at first, very interesting to see this sort of thing been done on the 360. Its nice to see the hard drive been taken advantage of in this way.
Impressive ! When playing high texture games like BF. There is a higher risk of getting random freezing. Especially if you are with the older 360 models. Hoping that they are paying attention to that given the fact that when developing a new game on the 360 these days most developers are using the newer, slim, models. Which will later cause trouble to older models i.e. Falcons and Jasper. However, I was really impressed with the recent Batman game, Arkham city , graphics intensity. I could not believe that we could see this level of details in this generation of consoles.
