I followed everything in the tutorial....except for dumping the nand with nand360 (I used flash360).

After shutting off my console and unplugging for a minute, I plugged it allback in, turned it on. And got E79 :(

Something has gone wrong building your nand for what ever reason, you need to hook up your hardware nand flasher and flash either Xellious back, then try building your nand again and flashing that, or flash your previous nand backup back

Do you have Dashlaunch installed? and is your USB drive FAT32 formatted?

What did you flash your nand with? if you used Flash360 that is apparently not always the best at re mapping bad blocks, which is why i suggested using NandFlasher 360. The console might not be able to read a file it needs in the nand.

E79: Dashboard Error - Couldn't start xam.xex: probably a file system corruption, it could also be a problem with the Hard Drive itself or a problem with the internal connection to the hard drive, Try removing the hard drive and playing without it

same problem 13604 not detected for avatar

I do have the same problem, my xbox 360 won't detect the 13604 update after updating my JTAG with the 13604.
I tried the USB and CD. when I launch the CD it's says your console is up to date.

FAT,FAT32 different kind of usb key and no pop up for update.
How do I uninstall dashlaunch and reinstall it to make sure it's properly installed ?

    Thank you

man i need your help so bad , ive followed every step , and once i get to this bit (Once in the fbBuild_0.33 folder we can now build the nand

To build your hacked nand type:

    fbbuild.exe -c <your console revision> -f 13604 -d mydata updflash.bin

Type one of the following depending on which revision your console is, this can be: xenon, zephyr, falcon, jasper, jasper256, jasper512

    fbbuild.exe -c xenon -f 13604 -d mydata updflash.bin
    fbbuild.exe -c zephyr -f 13604 -d mydata updflash.bin
    fbbuild.exe -c falcon -f 13604 -d mydata updflash.bin
    fbbuild.exe -c jasper -f 13604 -d mydata updflash.bin
    fbbuild.exe -c jasper256 -f 13604 -d mydata updflash.bin
    fbbuild.exe -c jasper512 -f 13604 -d mydata updflash.bin ) , it all fucks up , it says Could not read smd.bin (-1)
ERROR Critical bootloader files are missing , cannot proceed !
FATAL BUILD ERROR : -1 unable to complete NAND image , Pleease help me !!! i will be so greatful

You need to edit your launch.ini, there's an option to allow system updates. Not 100% off the top of my head as im not home, thats what you want to do though.

Read the part of this guide: Obtaining smc_config.bin, a decrypted KV.bin and a a decrypted SMC.bin

    https://digiex.net/guides-reviews/c...60-kernel-dashboard-12611-fbbuild-0-11-a.html

Do that and use them in your my data folder instead of the orig nand.

Thanks for a clear tutorial but I have one question,I have a jtag xbox without a DVD drive. Will the -o nodvd be the correct option for me as when I built the file with this option it says that xell will start if tray is not closed at boot time and I don't want it to boot into xell all the time.

    Thanks.

i use windows 7 and a common over looked error is hidden file extention names like .bin etc, this error has happened to me many a time so try this:

    open up your documents folder
click on organize then folder and search options
    click the view tab
then untick "Hide extensions for known file types"

whats probably happening is when you rename the origional nand to
nanddump.bin like it says in the tutorial. If you go back to check the file name of the nand you will notice its now named as nanddump.bin.bin
simply just rename your nand to just nanddump, it should now build your image, this happened to me. Just re tick the box again once its finished.

Hope this helps people out :)

    Hey guys,

I followed this tutorial two times, and one time (Jasper 16mb) it worked out perfect, thanks!

The other time (Falcon) after writing updflash.bin to my nand I recieve, after booting, the E71 Error (Update Error). I know how to remove this error by downgrading back to 126xx, but I would like to play XGD3 Games. Any Ideas how to fix this?

    hello hello insanenutter!
i have read all your tuto and the others members messages but i don't find the answer to my question.
I have a jtag Xenon 8955 and i want to update to 13604.
First case : I've read that it is better to do the 9199 update before the 13604 update. so i go on your tuto "how to update your Jtagged Xbox 360 to Freeboot 0.032 (9199 Dash / Kernal)". i dump my actual nand (xenon CB 1921) with flash360 and when i run freeboot toolbox maker24r3, the program stops at 38% (error : missing crl.bin). But when i use my orignal nand (xenon CB 1903) when i first jtagged my xbox360, everything is ok. Question : Can i update my jtagged xobx360 with the updated (9199) nand using the original nand (xenon CB 1903)? I think it is not a good idea but i would like your advice. How do i solve the missing crl.bin error? ( i have tried the Easy rebuilt v0.1 but it doesn't work because it is only for jaspers).
Second case : everything is ok when i follow your tuto step by step (easily update to dahsboard 13604 with fbbuild 0.33) but i haven't flashed my actual nand with the updated nand because i have read that's it's better to do the 9199 update first...If i flash my nand, and something goes wrong, will i be able to go back to the former nand?

    i feel like turning around...
    thanks for your help

Yes you should be able to use your original nand, I have done so for building my 9199 image and 12611 image.
People have had problems though and i think thats down to the way the console is wired up when Jtagged, it should work ok but i can not promise you it will do.

If something goes wrong you can go back to a previous working nand, however you will need to do that with a USB or LTP nand programmer, which you will have to solder to the Xbox 360's motherboard.

If you re install Dashlaunch it should pick your old launch.ini up and auto load your old Free Style 1.09 dash.

    Link here: https://digiex.net/downloads/download-center-2-0/xbox-360-content/libxenon-homebrew-jtag-reset-glitch-content/9665-dash-launch-2-26-download-freeboot-9199-13604-ggbuild-13604-a.html

Basically unzip, copy to your 360, and load the Dashlaunch installer with xex menu or another file manager

If you want the latest version of Freestyle Dash 2 it is here: https://digiex.net/downloads/downlo...le-dashboard-xbox-360-download.html#post52068

ronaldokid, i'm not quite sure what your doing to be getting all these errors.

Do you want to upload your current nand and message me a link to that along with your CPU key? I can try and build the nand for you and see what is up.
