so i was gonna check what this indie game was all about turns out this indie game is £16.95 so i pirated the offline one to see what its all about and my friend also let me use his account for multiplayer i personally do not think it is worth it for example on xbox there are 3 clones of mc castle miner fortress craft and another for 240 ms points which is around £2-3
Castleminer and Fortress Craft are pathetic ripoffs that literally don't have much to do, which is why they're only 240MS. You can't even harvest items in those games and it has probably 1/100 of the items that Minecraft has, doesn't have an endless map, has pathetic servers, has a pretty stale map generation, water is buggy and worthless, you can't take damage, no enemies, I could go all day as to why it costs more but I'll just stop here. Also it was only 10 when it was in alpha stages. If you actually wanted a decent clone of Minecraft on 360 get Total Miner.
You should try CastleMiner Z. It has harvesting, enemies, biomes, infinite worlds, plus you can craft weapons like an AK47, and it is only 240 msp
It's CastleMiner except with Zombies and other various little changes. So instead of just updating CastleMiner, they made CastleMiner Z so they could get extra money out of it, not appealing at all.
I think the £16.95 price does alienate a lot of potential players who would like to try the game but do not want to risk money on something they might hate, then again its no different to people buying a retail game at £40. It was always announced the game would go up to around £15 once it hit version 1.0, really they need a demo of the game to encourage people to try it out and buy it.
hopefully the 360 version should be 1200 ms points also does anyone lse think the xbl indie marketplaceis dying out i do alot of the devs have also said so because they hardly get any revenue anymore
I think the PC version is easily worth £16.95... Though I got it for half that price when it was back in alpha. I've played it non-stop for over a year, easily racked up over 500 hours of playtime at a low estimate for such a low price. We even have our own Digiex Server for it which at its peak easily had 20+ people online during the days including most of the Digiex Staff. If you don't like the game you don't even need to pirate it. Just download it and play offline, try it out. If you like it, then buy an account and online play works.
