Its not a bad spec for the price, and if you have never had a PC capable of playing games before then you will certainly enjoy been able to play the latest titles, compared to a 360 / PS3 your going to notice a huge difference.

The 6670 graphics card is what i could call an entry level graphics card for gaming, it will play the latest games, just not in the highest detail / frame rate. However that's the great thing about a PC, you can just upgrade the graphics card at a later date if you want more power.

Other than that you have plenty of ram (double what i have!) a good processor, lots of storage space and a pretty nice looking case too.

For the price you paid i think you got a good deal there.

Maybe you can post a review up for us with some photos once you have had a good play about with it? would be interested to here what you think of it as a first gaming PC.

    16GB Ram & a 6 Core CPU? A little too much overkill.

is it bad to be overkill or not because it makes it futureproof

It makes it ready for the future. I only wrote that because the specs are high.Games don't need those specs, but it's good to have them.
It's not like the games will not work.

I think you got a bargain there mate. Like nutter says you can always adjust the card and most specks until you changed everything. you just have to make sure your getting the right components that fit and work together. ever need advice just check back here i am sure someone can give you a hand

That's not a bad spec Slim, besides the graphics card everything else is pretty top stuff. Even that should cope with the latest games well though as you have found (Y)

When the graphics card starts to show its age i will swap it out for a better version, as things stand i'm waiting for the next gen xbox as i cant actually use a keyboard/mouse for gaming as i'm left handed
I have BF3 on PC but Cant play it very well so i use Xbox !

PS i cant wait for BF3 Endgame which is out in a few weeks

I'm left handed too, however I've always used a mouse in my right hand for some reason.
I think I'm more ambidextrous as I used to be able to write with both hands, then school made me pick one and i preferred the left.

Despite having a PC capable of games i find that i still play on the 360 more, great having the best of both worlds though.
As long as my PC plays games at 60fps its good with me, i generally pick frame rate over detail, however both are nice!
