    not really pretty worrying nonetheless

The young tyrant raised the stakes in his showdown with the US after ordering his generals to prepare missile batteries for launch.
Yesterday a British businessman, who organises tours to the rogue Communist state, told how government officials had warned him to stay out of the country.
Dylan Harris, director of Lupine Travel, was sent an email stating US stealth bomber flights over South Korea had made the situation critical, with the outbreak of war “probably only hours away”.
He said a Briton was among a 10-strong Chinese delegation staying in the capital Pyongyang.
Concerns were raised that the group – due to fly out of the country today – could be trapped if hostilities lead to borders being closed.
Yesterday Kim, 30, named the US mainland and bases in Hawaii, Guam and South Korea as targets after signing an order to prepare to unleash a devastating strike.
Photographs in a state-run newspaper reveal Kim, the world’s youngest head of state, signing the order for strategic rocket forces to attack.
The images show large-scale maps and diagrams in the background with a chart marked “US mainland strike plan”. It reveals missile trajectories aimed at Hawaii, Washington DC, Los Angeles and Austin, Texas.
The despot said that the war footing marked a “turning point” against American “imperialism” and opened “a new phase of history”.
He insisted rocket forces were ready “to settle accounts with the US”. Officials said the crisis could be resolved only by “physical means”.
The meeting of Kim’s senior military leaders was called after two US B2 stealth bombers – from bases in Missouri – simulated raids on an island off the coast of South Korea.
State-run news agency KCNA reported: “He [Kim] finally signed the plan on technical preparations of strategic rockets, ordering them to be on standby to fire so that they may strike any time the US mainland, its military bases in the operational theatres in the Pacific, including Hawaii and Guam, and those in South Korea.”
It added the B2 test flights on Thursday showed Washington’s “hostile intent”, saying the “reckless” act had gone “beyond the phase of threat and blackmail”.
North Korea’s military was placed on its highest alert level earlier this week and a hotline link with South Korea’s armed forces was severed.
White House spokesman Josh Earnest said last night that the “bellicose rhetoric” would only deepen the North’s international isolation and that the US has the capability and willingness to defend its interests.

Yesterday North Koreans held a rally at Kim II-sung Square in central Pyongyang in support of military action. But analysts believe its missiles are not capable of striking targets on the US mainland and that they do not yet have the capability to deliver a nuclear payload.
North Korea has an arsenal of Soviet-era short-range Scud missiles that can hit South Korea.
Tensions have soared since North Korea conducted a third nuclear weapons test in February in breach of UN sanctions and despite warnings from China not to do so.
China, the North’s sole major ally, yesterday repeated calls for restraint. And Russia’s foreign minister Sergei Lavrov warned: “The situation could get out of control. It is slipping toward the spiral of a vicious cycle.”
The radar-evading B2 bombers flew from the US to show America’s ability to conduct long-range, precision strikes “quickly and at will”.
They dropped dummy bombs on a remote island before completing the 13,000-mile round trip.

Not good at all, the world has had it if we start nuking each other in this day and age...

I really hope North Korea is just trying to put on a tough front, Unless China help them North Korea would end up getting wiped off the planet starting something with the US.

It will be interesting to see what the US does in retaliation and then the response of China/russia to that. IF he fires a nuclear missile then things might develop along the reasons for World War 1 with bigger weapons (He fires, US reacts, China reacts to US, We react to china, etc), truly scary to think about. We are at the point of one person being able to wipe out the entire planet. Wether it's North Korea or the US remains to be seen.

Pretty interesting documentary, i've certainly learnt a lot on how the north and south ended up dividing like they have. It does sound like Korea was a pretty peaceful place at one point too.

Seeing as it's North Korea wouldn't they think it was Homefront instead? Joking aside this is very worrying news but hopefully China (North Koreas biggest ally) and the USA can come to some resolution on how to defuse the situation.
