Not to mention that within 2013 we'll be getting awesome Wii U exclusives such as Sonic Lost World and Super Mario 3D World! With Sonic Lost World the Wii U will gain a lot of more attention because this is one of 2013's biggest hyped games this year, and people wanted it on the 360/PS3 but it's a Wii U exclusive, although the console right now only costs between £150 to £200 so it's not too expensive. It's £145 less than PS4, and £229 than Xbox One. I used the example of Wii U's £200 deal because that's the Premium Pack which has the console in black and 32GB (although not very big it can be connected an external storage device).
£150 is a good price, it looks to have recently dropped to that. Mario Kart 8 and Super Smash Bros U would be the main games i wanted on the Wii U, however neither of them are out until next year. Bayonetta 2 will probably be good, i never did finish the first however. Other games i would play but dont think would be that special are: Sonic Lost World, New Super Mario Bros and New Super Luigi U. Maybe once the console is £100 ish and Mario Kart 8 is out it might be tempting, i personally dont see myself using it that much. The Wii in our house got used for a few months and has since been collecting dust for years.
I got a great deal out of a Wii U pack and I'm so satisfied that Original Wii games look so much better, so I can always go back and forth to the last-gen and next-gen Wii. New Super Mario Bros. U is a ton of fun and very addicting. By the way, the Wii U Pro Controller is not compatible with Original Wii games, so if you want a traditional Xbox-type controller for the Wii U then you'll need the GameCube Controller and GameCube Adapter.
Smash Bros will have no story mode on the Wii-U, appears they dont want to take the chance of someone uploading it to YouTube... Nintendo removes story mode and cutscenes from new Smash Bros. to punish the internet | Games | Geek.com Not a deal breaker though, it was all about VS mode for me. Its great to see that 11+ years later the original GameCube controllers are still usable on modern consoles. I always thought the design of them was fantastic back in the day, the only controller i think that has improved upon the Gamecube controller is the Xbox 360 controller.
Deal breaker? This is a deal maker. I hated the story mode. It was bland, tedious, and boring, coupled with the fact that you were required to beat it for certain trophies, game modes, and unlockable characters.
Likewise, personally i'm happy as i hated it too lol, some people seem to be going nuts about it on other forums though!
Then they haven't played it recently. I told one of my friends about the removal of story mode, and he was pissed... until we had to play it again after rebuying SSBB for his new Wii. Now he just wants it to end
