Is there any advantage of installing a 7200 rtm HDD instead of a 5400 rtm on a Xbox 360?

You probably won't see a huge difference but the console will boot faster and games installed onto the hard drive will load faster.

I'm going to buy the WD5000BPKX, some user said it is fully compatible with the hddhack, for games like for instance Crysis 2, who use a lot the hdd for texture reading, it will benefit from this faster read access

A new bin file has been released and anyone can use the full 500gb now.

I'm going to use two USB sticks (16 GB and 8 GB) to transfer all my saved games.dlcs, downloaded games, so I tomorrow can copy again to my new 500 GB HDD.

Just hacked an WD5000BPKX-00HPJT0, and it worked serial date on 18 February 2014, you should update the compatibility list for WD, 460 GB free, as I booted up Xbox 360, a message appear of an system update, what I thought, thy are going to remove the 500GB support, but thankfully they didn't, now is time to put everything back to the new HDD

Will it ever be even a bigger sector than 500 gb?! As xbox one will probably get a TB Hdd someday?

Doubtful, the 360 is so late in its life that they probably won't do so. The Xbox One can have 1TB for storage but that requires the 1TB hard drive you want to use to be modified.

Did you disable AHCI / set the sata operation mode to either IDE / Legacy?

When i recently did my 500gb hard drive i ended up using an old Netbook as Hddhackr simply did not work with the SATA chipset on my Core i5 build and brothers Core i5 pc build.

I was lucky to have an older motherboard (Amd AM2+) to do this job, It has legacy IDE enabled on the sata definitions and it hacked wonderfully, firstly I was a little bit afraid, it couldn't be compatible but it is fully :), also on my laptop HDDhackr didn't boot at all, you need to tried it on more computers, it has to do with the motherboard's chip

Yes depending on the options present on your motherboard, Bios options on motherboards are different so its impossible to give a definitive solution that will work on every pc. Some are just not compatible at all.

I just looked at my WD5000BPVT and observed that it is a WD blue and not a WD scorpio blue
i just looked at its pics and it said "Scorpio blue" in all the WD's
but why is my WD BPVT a Blue and not a Scorpio Blue ?
could that be a reason ?
