It should work fine. Not all models are listed on the known supported list.

    Hi,

were you able to get it to work.

    I have tried the following

    1) Flashing through 1.4 and 1.3 . It always shows successful but when connection to 360 E Slim box it is not show in the xbox.

    2) I tried using the HEX Method there also it refused to show up in my Xbox

    3) Using Xplorerextreme I am able to see the drive and it shows Partition 1 2 and 3 but all are empty with no data in anything.

    4) I have tried to erase it by putting all zeros then formatting it through ntfs and then running the hddhackr tool to no avail.

    Can someone help me ??

    couple of odd things
    1) The hdd can be read in windows and shows 460 odd gb available is this normal?? I dont think it should be showing this right?? The same when accessed to xplorer360 shows empty partitions 0/2/3
    2) when i try to use a laptop to flash it it shows disk not found , event after putting sata mode to Compatability

I truly want to make this to work.. any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

    Not working with my WD3200LPVX

    I bought a WD5000LPVX hard disk 500gb and used hddhackr 1.4

    First Attempt
    ------------------
    1. It detects my drive in my laptop by hddhackr then flashed it using 'F option then placed it in my xbox 360 slim E version. didn't detect. (success)

    Second Attempt
    -----------------------
    1. used UNDO.BIN to restore
    2. Flashed it again (success)
    3. Created partition using the partition option (success)
    4. took to xbox and didn't detect

    Third Attempt
    -------------------
    1. used UNDO.BIN to restore
    2. used WD Disk utility to write 0's to the entire drive (took 1 and half hour). No complaints disk is good
    3. Flashed it again (success)
    4. Created partition using the partition option (success)
    5. took to xbox and didn't detect

Fourth Attempt (Read through the threads that formatting can be done on xbox)
    ----------------------
    1. used UNDO.BIN to restore
    2. used WD Disk utility to write 0's to the entire drive (took 1 and half hour). No complaints disk is good
    3. Flashed it again (success)
    4. took to xbox and didn't detect

I din't have any luck with WD5000LPVX and hddhackr 1.4 till now

Can anyone help what am I missing here?

I will say this... Yes and No I can't answer your poll because it depends on which sub model of the LPVX, a buddy I did a drive for... he had a 14/13 Model of the LPVX a 2.5" drive 320GB... Recently a buddy got an old elite for $40 no drive but has the hardware/housing for a drive so I got him the local Canada Computers last WD Blue 320GB was a LPVX figured it would work... one i got it out it already felt different it's slightly smaller in height to most 2.5" drives it flashes fine but sectors don't get written properly? I've tried NTFS, Hex Workshop nothing so I think it has something to do with the height of the drive making things more compressed thus changing calibrations or something along those lines?

Long story short... It works on some LPVX drives but not all just hope you get the right one.. now I gotta hope they take back the drive with a restocking fee once I restore the firmware... and try and find a better model...

would one of you guys please upload the undo.bin for this drive for me ....... Bought one preflashed and user had lost undo.bin

I may also have a solution to this problem. I think it is down to the idle timer built into the HDD. If you use the DOS version you can alter the idle timer to ensure it never turns off - I cannot confirm though without the undo.bin please :)

    so a copy of WD3200LPVX undo.bin please
