Error code 112--1006 here too, when I try to enter any website. I've tried the workaround with the new DNS server (104.236.072.203), but it didn't work. Can someone help me, I have no idea what to do next.

    My settings are:
    wireless conection
    auto obtain ip address
    primary dns 104.236.072.203
    dont use proxy settings
    mtu value 1400

when i do the conection test, appear a green checker between wii u and network device, but a red cross between network device and internet.

    Please help me guys!

Both DNS servers are down, you can try this one: 52.40.86.243

It seems to work, but remember as always you are trusting someone else to block update for you, you really want to do this on your own router if possible.

Once you have access to the Homebrew Launcher via the web browser it's now possible easily permanently install the Homebrew Launcher to the Wii U's Home Screen, simply follow follow this tutorial Wii U Permanent Homebrew Channel / Launcher Install.

The end result been you no longer have to launch Homebrew from the Wii U's web browser. The added benefit is the boot rate is 100% successful every time.

    Hello,

first I tell you what i've already done.

    - I'm on Firmware 5.5.1 e
    - I formatted my SD Card to FAT32 and extracted your folder into it
    - I checked my router to block the IPs -> No options are available for my speedport so I used the "Tubehax Methode" with the Ip 52.40.86.243 (Which is displayed as 052.040.086.243 (should be correct..)
    - After changing the DNS options my WiiU can connect to the router but not to the internet (is this right..?, i thought only updates wont work..)
    - I put in the SD Card with the extracted files and changed the first bookmark to the named link
    - After i clicked the Link in the bookmark it just tried to load the site, but it does not work (since i have no network connection.

Can you please help me to solve this problem

    Best regards,
    Dennis

The problem appears to be the 52.40.86.243 DNS server is now down, i dont know of any more public DNS server which will block Wii U updates unfortunately. You could just follow the tutorial without blocking updates, then use the Wii U Permanent Homebrew Channel / Launcher Install tutorial to get offline access to homebrew.

Once that is all setup simply remove any network connects from the Wii U and use it offline.

So you mean i could install everything without the dns that blocks wii u updates and then after installing everything i cant play online? Because that sucks since i only play online games lol

Well you can install everything without using the DNS to block updates as Nintendo hasn't updated the Wii U in a while. You can keep the Wii U's network connection on after and play online too, however if Nintendo release an update, your Wii U will update automatically. If that happens then you won't have hacks anymore, which is why i suggested keeping it offline to it doesn't auto update.

It's up to you what you do really, i'm simply trying to keep you as safe as possible.

Any future updates will likely patch the exploit used to launch the Homebrew launcher from the DS game you purchase / modify to become the homebrew laucher, meaning you simply have no home brew and a normal Wii U which can't be exploited.

The Wii U hasn't been updated for many months now, however it's not to say it won't be at any time. The PSP went 3x years then randomly got a new update from Sony. Which is why i advise you be careful as once a Wii U update has download it will attempt to auto install, you get no choice which is why if you really want hacks / homebrew in the long run i suggest been careful.

It worked fine. However, I can't get the CleanRip app to show up or any other application that uses the .dol format whatsoever. If i change the ending on the sd card to .elf the homebrew channel recognizes it but of course it wont run because it's not in the correct format

.dol homebrew applications are Wii homebrew, you can't load them from the Wii U homebrew launcher.

You need homebrew designed for the Wii U, not the Wii. To use Clean Rip you will have to hack the Wii U's Virtual Wii.

Not sure if this actually helped, or I just got lucky, but when loading wiiu.insanenutter.com I kept hitting Y again, and reloading it, as sooon as I saw it say the firmware version.

I did that about 5 times in a row and BINGO! :D

Hey thanks a lot InsaneNutter! I've bought a used WiiU for BotW last week since CEMU is still in development and not working properly. I surfed the web to check if it was possible to exploit it and came on this topic. Everything is working!

    I have three questions tho:

    1) I have blocked all the hostnames on my router. I can't access them on Chrome, but I still can access the eShop on my WiiU. Is it fine?
    2) Do you know how much time it usually takes for someone to put a new WiiU release on the web? Been wondering if I should keep my BotW preorder.
    3) I am also concerned about my console banned but if I understand the whole exploit correctly, if Nintendo releases a new firmware update (probably with BotW), the system can't actually be bricked, right? All it is going to do is make the exploit unusable?

    Thanks again!

    1. Does your Wii U show a red x in the bottom right where you click to see the downloads after a while? (doesnt always show, but usually does if your idle on the home screen for long enough) if so updates should be blocked. I dont think you can get on the eshop with blocked updates though, so i'm not totally sure you have blocked updates ok.

    2. Like anything probably the day its out, if not before. I'd say install the game by all means for easy access, however support the developers and buy the game.

    3. Youwon't brick your system, you just can't update it though. If you update you loose access to Homebrew. Although the Wii U hasn't been updated for months now i'd say its unlikely a new firmware will be released any time soon, all development efforts will be going in to the Switch.

Ok, so my website filter from my router wasn't working because you're not supposed to be able to go on eShop. BUT!

I found these DNS and they are working:
