I just wanted to say thanks for this demo. The torrent is ridiculously fast. I cant wait to burn this thing. I really appreciate you taking the time out for all us games so we can play this game now instead of "early 2009"

    Argh help!?

I can't seem to get this to work and it is so frustrating because I normally have no problem downloading games (legally or otherwise) and have been doing so since the Dreamcast days

My problem is that it wont even pick up the disk at all, it just says 'open tray' I'm using CD-Rs because I dont have a DVDR handy (ill pick some up tomorrow) but these CDRs work fine on my 360 for DivX / XviD

I have the folders exactly how you have it, and I disconnected from Xboxlive and even named the disk "Resident Evil 5" I have tried slowing down the burn speed and tried both Disc-at-once and Track-at-once burning but nothing seems to work. ahh I want this to work so badly, RE4 is one of my favorite all time games, please PLEASE help me :'(

BTW I'm using Nero 7. something and I cant upgrade because my version isn't what they would call "paid for" do you think that I have an old Nero is the problem?

    Solutions:
    1. Re-download the game
    2. Burn it in a low speed e.g X4
    3. Burn it on a DVD. (although it should work with CD format should work)
    4. Sometimes people put in the .iso on the disc instead of extracting it on the disc.

Theyre might be more solutions but thats all i can think about.

You would probably have a lot more luck with a DVD, however a CD should work.

If you downloaded it from the Digiex FTP did you un-rar the file? I know a few people have had problems because they created the folder structure and dumped the rar on the cd without un-raring it.

I used 8x speed, Disc-at-once for the write method and finalized the DVD.

    Hope that helps.

I downloaded it from your torrent. I had earlier downloaded it from a different site and it came in a rar file I un-rared the file, but when I couldnt get that version to work I tried your torrent and still no luck... I guess the only thing left for me to try is on a DVD, ill let you guys know how it works out later today. should I pick up DVD-Rs or DVD+Rs?

I used DVD-R’s but I don’t think it makes much difference.

Alright I'll get those just to be safe. I hope it works, I really wouldn't mind waiting a few weeks for it to come out on live, but I'm visiting my folks from college right now and I don't have internet at my apartment, so its this or bust.

i downloaded the image. burned it as a data disc using nero and nero express setting. once opened i click add and then click through the folder it i came to "content" highlight it and click add. then burn.

i put it into my xbox 360 unmodded. i went to my demos tab on my new xbox experience or nxe and there it was in japanese but it was there.

i click on on it and i did get a black screen for abotu 2 minutes i pressed buttons i think the x button got it go further and i say "loading" in the lower right hand corner. it loads a bit slow but once the main screen is up it was smooth even on a cd-r.

so for those who it can't read i don't know what to tell you i used nero and a basic edition at that...i made sure i selected the "content" folder not the resident evil 5 demo full folder. and burned it. once burned i literly took it form my dvd/cd burner and put it into my x-box. i made sure i was not signed into xbox live just as the thread sudgested and it worked. it seemed it might not at first but it booted.

and it's beautiful i will absolutely buy it when it comes out in march.

spent ages trying to get this to work and got it in the end, was after reading someones post about the burner you are using, using the content file to name the disk rather than incorperating it with other files, once i sorted that ot worked!, i used omg burn and maxell cd-r, it seems to run really slow and quite cumbersome, may be better with dvd-r, but havent tried that, im a big fan of the resi series but i hope capcom can sort some of the control issues before release! but all in all looks promising.
