@InsaneNutter I got it to work!! :D My GBA games have all of the ticket events now. Thanks so much for the help! Do you know if there is currently a way to get the old sea map on an English copy of Emerald?? That's the only one I'm missing now.

Glad you got it working! :D

The Old Sea map was never released outside Japan, so its impossible to get that on any other regional copy of the game.

Thankfully the Old Sea Map event has been preserved so it's at least still possible to get it on a JPN copy of the game.

That's a shame :( I was hoping it would be a similar situation like the Azure Flute in Platinum. It was never officially released but you can still unlock it etc. I have access to the Aura Mew event for Gen 3 so I can still fill the pokedex :). Also got the save state with all gen 3 pokemon and wow...THAT is impressive. I love that this community came together to preserve such important history for this franchise.

When I said impossible to get, I should have been clearer and said without using Action Replay / Gameshark codes to warp to Faraway Island. You can do that on all copies of Emerald and catch Mew that way. Technically you have an unreleased event Pokemon doing that on international copies of the game.

I'm very please we managed to come together and preserve so many event Pokemon and even some event distributions also.

    Hello,

I have only recently found out about these types of distribution roms... I have a question about this particular gift tool: Is it REALLY no different, code wise to the real events from years ago? Could it cause any damage to my save files, as I'm a bit OCD about that?

Also: How are these roms made or programmed? I sort of understand that it's basically a program that sends a mystery gift event to the other DS/GBA or in this case I guess, changes some values in the save file, but what language is this written in and how is it done?
As far as the distribution roms for the DS games go, they seem to all be for the US or English games and I might be interested in trying to make some for the German games, as I'm sure the German community would be very interested in getting some legit events that they missed.

    Thanks in advance

The roms are for all european games. Not only UK. And they are legit, we haven't made them. They come directly from Nintendo/GameFreak/The Pokemon Company :P

Could you show me exactly where the companies state their positions on this? Thanks

Has this particular ROM or have the events contained in it been verified to be legit?

This is a program which contain events.
The DS/GBA roms came directly from the cartridges that Nintendo sent to the stores to distribute events.
Of course the cartridges where never suposed to leak from the stores, but some employes did leak them

You wouldn't possibly be so kind to make another one for german games, would you? :P

What event are you trying to use and which game?

I only have English and Japanese games, so can't test with a German cart. However you could also backup your save game and try the Windows version of Mystery Gift tool.

My initial(meanwhile deleted) quotation of mrhappyasthma was not placed by mistake. In fact, I replied to his last post that "it is the case that I'm interested in his upload of a rom that includes the spoofed wonder card but for german games as well".

I really appreciate it that you tried to help me but in this case, it wasn't a nooby first posting :P

    But what now comes, is:

When I already have your attention(which I wouldn't seek otherwise only for this, cause your time is gold :P), I just wanted to thank you and your team very very much for creating this site. Only yesterday I learned that you're one of the founders so I just wanted to pay you guys my utmost respect and tell you that you made a lot of children in our adult bodies very grateful.
Every thing I downloaded so far worked everytime and if anyone had questions, you're immediately there to help.
Therefore, I made of course an exception for this site in my Adblock(sadly, there isn't more I could contribute because poor student ect. :P) and I'll spread the word to anyone interested in what you guys are doing! Thanks again! :)

Ah I understand. I can see that your quote got deleted due to your message getting flagged as spam. Usually when someone signs up and posts a link in their first post its a spam bot (spam is a problem on many forums as you can imagine). Obviously in this case you had quoted someone else who had posted a link. Hopefully @mrhappyasthma can help you out! :)

I'm glad you have enjoyed the content on Digiex, we have been around for a long time and aim to keep the more rare / obscure content accessible for all to enjoy.

It's also appreciated you not blacking adverts and spreading the word to other like minded people, that's all we ask!

    Unfortunately there's two problems:

    a. I didn't create the spoofed USA version of the Old Sea Map wondercard. I just updated the NDS rom to use the spoofed wondercard that someone else reverse engineered.

    b. I also don't have access to a German version of Emerald to do any kind of reverse engineering myself.

If you're able to track down or create a spoofed wondercard for the German version of the game, I'm happy to update the NDS rom to include it.

Actually doing a bit more research, it seems like the spoofed card is claimed to work for all regions. (ENG/FRE/ITA/GER/ESP)

I could create an NDS rom that would test this, but in the event that it's not a truthful statement then it could do damage to your game. If you're able to back up your game save and are willing to help test this, I can compile a new version that allows this same wondercard to be applied to the other languages as well.

I would very much appreciate your efforts if you'd create such a NDS rom. I wouldn't even need to back up my save cause there is nothing of interest to save any way ;)

So I would test it if you provide this rom! :)
