Mysterious object

    Hey, does anybody know what is this thing? I've received this object in the mail about a week ago and it looks like this.

    it looks like a sim card. the little piece of metal is to open the little tray that is on the side of most phones.

    I don't think it's a sim card but it came with my ps2 converter to USB.

    The object on the left looks 100% identical to an iPhone SIM card tray opener.

    My response would focus solely on the black object.

    While it appears to be upside down (as in if you put it in a sim card tray, the pins don't face the direction of the contacts to the sim cards), it's size and shape and location of the 6 pins matches a sim card.

    Maybe the pins are not covered on the other side? In that case, maybe it's meant to be put in the phone so that the sim card contacts isn't just exposed to air and have current running through it? Wouldn't know why that's important, but it seems to fit.
