The Left 4 Dead Demo was released on the Xbox 360 marketplace some time ago, however it was removed for some reason a few days later, just like the PC version of demo got removed from steam.

As this has been requested by a few people on Digiex here is the Xbox 360 demo, just extract the folder structure and files with WinRAR and burn to a DVD. You can then launch the Demo from the dashboard on your 360 as you would with any other downloaded demo.

    Instructions:

    1. Burn the content folder to a CD or DVD using Nero or any other DVD burner.

(Your DVD should look like this)

    2. Go to the Demos tab on your Xbox 360 to play.

If you have any problems can I recommend that you checkout the Resident Evil 5 Demo thread as this requires exactly the same process to burn and play, the only difference is this is a demo of a different game.

As of the 27th January 2009 it’s still possible to play this demo on Xbox Live.

    About the game

From Valve (the creators of Counter-Strike, Half-Life and more) comes Left 4 Dead, a co-op action horror game for the PC and Xbox 360 that casts up to four players in an epic struggle for survival against swarming zombie hordes and terrifying mutant monsters.

Set in the immediate aftermath of the zombie apocalypse, L4D's survival co-op mode lets you blast a path through the infected in four unique “movies,” guiding your survivors across the rooftops of an abandoned metropolis, through rural ghost towns and pitch-black forests in your quest to escape a devastated Ground Zero crawling with infected enemies. Each "movie" is comprised of five large maps, and can be played by one to four human players, with an emphasis on team-based strategy and objectives.

New technology dubbed "the AI Director" is used to generate a unique gameplay experience every time you play. The Director tailors the frequency and ferocity of the zombie attacks to your performance, putting you in the middle of a fast-paced, but not overwhelming, Hollywood horror movie.

    Extra Info:

For anyone who doesn’t have Nero or is having trouble with burning this demo I recommend you give ImgBurn a try, it works as good as Nero and its free. Have a look at the Digiex guide: How to burn files and folders to a CD, DVD or Blueray Disc using ImgBurn.

Use a download manager that will allow you to resume the download, Getright will allow you to do this. Also Firefox has some basic download manager built in to it that should do the job just fine.

If you use a download manager please don’t make multiple connections to the ftp as it will automatically ban you for 1 hour.

You need to download it to your PC, unzip it then burn the disc.

If you are doing that the disc might have been used before?

Nope you must use a DVD-R, DVD's work better in the 360 too.

Sounds like the your 360 doesn’t like the DVD-R too much, what did you burn it with?

Could be a bad burn or your Xbox just doesn’t like the media you burned it on, usually people have problems with CD-R’s and not DVD-R’s.

Not sure what to suggest except maybe trying to burn it again or using a different make of DVD.

    Try a DVD-RW then you’re not wasting DVD-R's if it doesn’t work.

I can't think of any reason why it would not work. I agree with Nutter's suggestion, try to burn it again on a different DVD type.
