With the announcement of pokemon FR and LG I was preparing a speculative post regarding whether to enable the wireless adapter option and today I can confirm that if yes, this is very good since we could have the rest of the events that did NOT come out for the generation and also have the old tickets again https://www.nintendo.com/us/store/products/english-pokemon-firered-version-switch/ https://www.nintendo.com/es-mx/stor...9Ug0RjfTlpsKpQsW-wc8-dLxz-AdTtVJfZLIh0rZ7Fgo0 We still have to wait for the day the game comes out and wait to see what form the events will give us Event List Ticket: Aurora Ticket Mystic Ticket Eggs: Egg Pichu move Surf Unrealized Egg PKMN CENTER NY Altering Cave Unrealized Stamp Card Unrealized Sevii Islands Trainer event Unrealized
Probably they will (somehow) distribute/include (like GS Ball for Pokémon Crystal VC) the Aurora Ticket and the Mystic Ticket. I think it will be very difficult to see other events. (But, since FRLG will be distributed also for original Switch, we will be able to use CFW to dump and edit save files).
Yes, I thought they probably edited the rom to get the tickets after the league. Regarding modifying the save, I feel that they will also have more problems to avoid the use of pirated wonder cards
I agree, the Aurora Ticket and the Mystic Ticket will probably be injected into the save like the GS Ball on Crystal VC. I think Celebi and Jirachi will be the more interesting / harder Pokemon to obtain with these releases (Presuming we get Ruby / Sapphire / Emerald at some point). The Old Sea Map would likely be available in Emerald allowing access to Mew. That only leaves Celebi and Jirachi that can't be obtained by just playing the game. Its not totally unrealistic Pokémon Colosseum / the bonus discs could be made available on the Switch 2 I suppose though... Other tedious Pokemon to obtain without online trading / Home support would be Chikorita, Cyndaquil, Totodile, along with Raikou, Entei and Suicune as these would require at least three playthroughs of Emerald, in addition to three of either Fire Red or Leaf Green. The no actual internet functionality limits trading to other people you know IRL, so it depends how many of your friends plan to play these releases. Of course with a hacked Switch you can tunnel local WiFi over the internet, or even trade with an emulator and your real Switch. (Or just restore your GBA save game to the Switch and be done with it!) so options do exist. It might be a fun one to try do totally legit all these years later, depending how many friends plan to play these new releases.
