Yesterday, a new XbGuard update came out. If you do not know what XbGuard is, it is a stealth service for the Xbox 360 that allows people with modded consoles to connect to Xbox Live.

The best part about the update is a "standby mode" which is what you think it is. It puts your console into a standby mode when you either go to the XbGuard menu (RS + DPAD Down) and select standby mode or simply press the power button. This is helpful for bad update users, as you do not need to run the exploit every time. The user has to run the exploit, make sure the console is connected to the internet when selecting standby and that's it (connecting to internet makes the chance of standby working higher). When the console is booted from standby, it shows the boot animation which you can set in XbGuard settings (this was impossible for bad update before as changing bootanim.xex bricks your console and still does) And shows a xbox notification on the bottom saying how long it was on standby mode. If you don't have XbGuard on your Xbox yet, you should check it out, as it allows you to also play online without Xbox Live Gold, allows you to use older dashboards and other.

    Check out XbGuard here

Check out a youtube video with more information about this here (specifically, the description shows you how to set a custom boot animation for standby mode)
