NXE Full Dashboard + Avatars [Offline Install]

thanks nimrod ive been looking for this(not in xbox.com for some reason) to update my offline m8s xbox

 

I tried my mp3 player(not an ipod) and my flash drive but i havent tried a cd yet so im hoping that works

 

hi..im new to this forum and i wanted to ask if i can install this new system update on a modded or hacked Console..i live in South east asia and most of the consolez come already modded or hacked and they are also more expensive since i got mine for 500$ and itz a Xbox Pro 20gb..i own only 2 original gamez and a few pirated titlez but all i want to know is if itz possible for me to update to the new system software..thnx in advance ^^

hey guys, i was just wondering if i install it on my flashed samsung drive will it still let me play my backup copies.

i think my problem same as "party time" , i really want the avatar feature coz previously i updated with preview version(don't realize about that). As i update with the preview version i realize that there is no intro HD promo( which is the reason i update to the NXE) and i unable customize my avatar, it prompted with download instruction xbox.com....so the question is can i re-download it officially from xbox.com and re-update it with the same method previously( cd update)?

If i made the update of my xbox 360 arcade (without hd), i will lose the modchip-tion?
i don't know if i'm clear when i write because i'm a stupid italian (hsahsah) ...
i have a xbox 360 with mod-chip ... if i made the update offline with cd & $SystemUpdate_ Fall08.zip ... i will lose the mod-chip?

The update will install fine without a hard drive, if you have modded your console it won’t disable the mod either.

 

hi,i downloaded the$SystemUpdate_Fall08.zip and burn it on cd.then ive install it on my xbox360,after the nxe intro.ive install NBA2k9.after it finish 100 percent.ive ejected the disc out the tray the ive play it on the hard drive but it wont run without the game disc.after i put the disc itself then it run,is this supposed to run w/o the disc in it.pls. in need some help here since the game is not mine itsfrom my neighbor we use to play network if i dont have the disk we cant play together.why is this?

 

Even if you install a game on the console hard drive the disc is still required in the drive to play. Its only designed to make games load faster (from hard drive instead of disc).

 

Like a couple of others, every time I try to create an Avatar I get a message about needing an update from xbox live. Anyone found a way around this?

 

Hi i've downloaded $SystemUpdate_Fall08.zip this file n brun it's files to a dvd but when i insert dis dvd on my xbox360 it says disk is unreadable plz help !

the download wont work for me because at 1.44mb to download stops and goes to 100%. So can anyone help with my problem?

 

What are you using to download, Try a different browser?
The download link is fine here...

 

I tried using Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox but still the same problem

 

What about a download manager like Getright?
