I have to quote myself here. I succesfully transferred the Optional Media Update from 1 HDD to another, and it works.

Your console must have already had a licence for it then, did you download it in the past?

I have 2 HDD's, one with the original media update that I downloaded on my 360. I transferred the Optional Media Update from 1 HDD to my pc, and then back to the other HDD, and it works fine.

Ah thats why it works then, you downloaded the update in the past so your console has a licence for it.
I thought you had never downloaded it before.

has anyone else got x360 tool working on windows 7? I followed a tip from a previous post about installing Visual basic 6 runtime but it appears that isn't compatible with windows 7.

Yes, i created the guide on Windows 7 x64.

Copy the COMDLG32.OCX from the 360 Tool folder to your Windows\System32 folder then right click on the .exe and run it as an administrator.

You have to run it with admin rights otherwise it doesn't work, that worked for me anyway.

Is there any way to know where updates should be? I mean updates from old games are in Cache folder. But I wonder about new games.CoD Black ops uses own folder. What about Homefront?

If its named something like tu00000001_00000000, tu00000002_00000000, tu00000003_00000000 and so on then it needs to go in the games id folder inside another folder called 000B0000.

So for example the id of Rockband 3 is 45410914, so the title updated would go in Content\0000000000000000\45410914\000B0000
Another example is Homefront, the title id for that game is 54510846, so title updates would go in Content\0000000000000000\54510846\000B0000

If you dont know the Title ID of the game you could search on http://abgx360.net/verified.php

If the title update is named something random like TU_134U1UQ_0000008000000.00000000000G2 then it goes in the Cache folder.

Hi, I'm having issues getting my Xbox360 Slim 250G HDD to be detected by my PC so I can transfer a title update to it. I've connected the slim hardrive to a sata cable from an old hardrive and then to a file transfer cable and from that to my pc. Any help you can offer would be appreciated.
I've tried using a USB to do it and that works where I can see the title update on my 360, but it reads as "corrupted marketplace content"

If you mean the consoles internal memory, go in to memory management, press ( Y ) on it and clear all the data from the internal memory unit, including the cache. I think they are a few options, it *should* save it on the hard drive then from what i remember.

I'm using Modio 3.0 on my 250gb slim hdd. Each time i add a title update, it appears to add the single file twice. what am i doing wrong?

**UPDATE** All these programs (Xplorer360_09b6_250gb, Modio 3.0 & 4 beta) are on crack!! They all add the same file MULTIPLE TIMES and then it gives me a hard time deleting the rest. so then i clear cache on my 360 and try again. Xplorer360 adds the same file like 7 TIMES!!! OMG!!!!!!!! HELP!!!!!!!
