I've had this modded Xbox 360 for years. It has 2 wires coming out of the top, for a "side car"??? So I am assuming it's a devkit mod. When I power on, the 360 goes to a "Xbox 360 Development Kit" menu. The information given to me that is console related is FLASH: 16197.0 XDK: 21250.2 . I have NEVER altered or opened anything from this menu other than the default.xex that takes me to my external HD with my games. I access XeXMenu 1.2 from the Xbox 360 dash. I put the DLC into Hdd1:\Content\lots of zeros\GameIDfolder\00000002\Then I paste my DLC here. I use XM360 to make sure the DLC is unlocked, and it is. I restart the 360, boot the game through the Xbox 360 devkit launcher. Default.xex takes me to my external HD, it's a simple game menu list, select the game. I do have to patch the games creating a default.xex.original file, but I have to use the default.xex file to launch the game. Moving along. The game gives me a error saying something to this effect "Cannot access DLC, remove and redownload/install files. These are the files." So the game recognizes that the files are there, but they don't work. Side note, the game has always played properly before/during/after I've messed with the DLC content. I've downloaded the DLC several times from several different sites, same result. Now for the real problem, I think? DashLaunch does not open properly. I have tried several versions. They are not supported by my Kernel is the message I get. I am able to navigate the program, but I am unable to enable/disable all of the paths/behavior files that every single DashLaunch tutorial shows me to do, haha. Turns out, so I have read, that DashLaunch isn't compatible with a Devkit mod....yay!!!! So, how do I work around this on a Devkit mod if DashLaunch won't open? DashLaunch gives this console information if it helps. Board: Jasper Flash: Unknown Type: Glitch Kernel 2.0.16197.32768 I am savvy enough to be dangerous, and know how to change file text if I need too. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
From what you have said you actually do have a devkit (based on the wires coming out the top for the sidecar), not a 360 modded to become one. Retail DLC is signed with retail keys, devkits require retrial signed content to be patched before it can be loaded. To save you patching the DLC (or even games) you might be able to load FreeMyXe on your devkit so you don't have to unpack and patch the DLC - I suspect you will have to update the devkit to 17559, which you'll have to find the "recovery" to do so. We can't host that here but they are out in the wild. If using FreeMyXe try using an unpatched game, title update and DLC to test. If you start patching games to run I believe you will also need to patch the DLC and title update too.
