What's the last game you played and tell a little about it! (also PC games, I just put it here since there's not general Gaming section.) I just installed and played some Settler 2: 10th Anniversary for PC. It's one of the many games I own which I never really played. It's pretty cool so far, I liked the old Settlers 2 and since this is basically just a remake it's got the same awesomeness. I do prefer the old 2D look though, but that's just me being picky.
I had it installed a while back but for some reason once my empire started getting big on any level, my computer started to lag really badly but at the same time it could play a game like Crysis without any problems, so unfortunately I never got to finish the single player campaign. It's still a good game and I prefer the updated look that it has over the original one. One thing it has that the original one didn't is the choice of race to play as. I know that it doesn't add any perks or unique buildings/weapons to your empire but I think it makes it more diverse visually, if you see what I'm getting at. The last game that I played was Dawn of War: the Dark Crusade which I finally finished! It takes a slightly different approach to game play, whereas the campaign for the original game and first expansion pack forced you to play as a certain race and had a set order to do missions in, the Dark Crusade lets you pick the race of your choice (in addition to two new ones) and you fight the other factions for control over different provinces on a planet which give your side unique units or bonuses when you conquer a new location. Unfortunately the game play gets quite repetitive after a while and might throw you off playing it more than what you normally would.
The last game I played was Geometry Wars 2 on the Xbox 360, its one of them games that’s good to pickup and have a couple games when you have a few minutes free, it will always have you wanting to just play one more game. Although the game is hard I really enjoy it, some people think the game is random but there are strategies that can be used on some game modes and you will notice patterns if you play it enough. I’m quite sure playing this game will improve your reflex and co-ordination over time
I noticed they didn't put the World Campaign from Settlers 2 Gold in. It's weird they didn't remake that, since it is in the DS version (too bad that one's so broken). Anyway, played some more Settlers, finished the first mission. Also played some Electro Man, an old DOS game. I'll probably add that to the DOS review thread some time later.
Last game I played was Super Paper Mario for the Wii. It has the same humour that Paper Mario and the thousand year door had on the Gamecube. Two great features is that you can choose to play as either Mario, Princess Peach or Bowser (each character brings their own strategies and in some parts of the game you'll need to change character to progress). The other cool feature is that when playing as Mario you can flip to 3d Mode and get to places that seem inaccessible in 2d and find more secrets to a level etc. Hmm think I may include this in my review .
Halo 3 online on Big Team Social. The sex. Can't wait for the new maps to come out, it was good that Cold Storage was free, because let's be fair who'd pay a penny for it?
Since I finished the first Command and Conquer and Command & Conquer 3, I decided it's time to finish Tiberian Sun as well, so I started playing that.
Last game I played for xbox 360 would be call of duty 4, last game I played for PC would be command and conquer 3 kane's warth.
Last singelplayer game: Half life 2. Need to get trough ep. 1 and 2 soon. Last multiplayer game: Teamfortress 2 / SSBB.
I've been playing Team Fortress 2 myself the past couple of days. Pretty nice, especially with the achievements, which give you a reason to go on. I am getting kind of bored with it already though, but that just has to do with my short attention span with games recently. I have a lot of unplayed RPGs but I just know that if I start playing them I won't finish them anyway.
last game i played was world of warcraft wrath of the lich king beta private servers i spend long tim playing it ,death knights pwns.
god of war chains of olympus, always wanted to play a god of war game, but it was the only console game, so no need to buy a ps2(i am mainly pc mp gamer), but i got myslef a psp for longer train rides + god of war CoO, and it was exactly what i ve expected, great action game with suprisingly(for me, alteast) super graphics(yes yes they ARENT important, but...)
I’m going through a phase of playing arcade games on the 360 at the moment, got from level 1 to 46 on Mutant Storm yesterday playing vs. mode with a friend. Surprisingly I had fun playing Joust too, a game that been around since 1982 I didn’t choose to buy Joust, it was free so I’m not complaining. On the pc I’ve just had a few games of the Ra3 Beta, not sure how much I like it yet, but i think it could be the best C&C game released in the last few years.
I just played some Indigo Prophecy (Fahrenheit). It was on my games to play list for a while now, and I must say, so far I'm really enjoying myself. It really seems like a movie. The only thing I don't like is if you have to match the button combinations, that's just impossible.
Just finished Crysis. I expected more of it. The aliens weren't that great. Basically just metal things with blue lights. not very spectacular.
