Sega has made the rumoured PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade release of Sonic Adventure 2 official. An announcement was made at the Sonic Boom event during San Diego Comic-Con over the weekend. A video of the announcement, accompanied by a trailer, is below. Warning, people make a lot of noise. Last month a listing for the Dreamcast game briefly popped up on Xbox.com. It revealed a 3rd October release date, offline multiplayer, content downloads and leaderboards. Screenshots suggested it was an HD upgrade rather than a port. The first Sonic Adventure was re-released on XBLA on 15th September 2010 in honour of the Dreamcast's 11th birthday. Wish they would release an early demo already and say how many MSP it's going to cost.. Probably 800 MSP.
Probably going to be 800 points for the game, then another 400 for the "Battle" content which was included in the GameCube version of the game. I'm sure i remember reading somewhere that would be sold as extra dlc.
It's cheaper selling it at 800 MSP than 1200 MSP, though. So I kind of see the potential doing this way.
Indeed, that way if you dont want the Battle content you still get the main game for 800 points. I always said i would buy Sonic Adventure 2 on either PC or 360 for full retail price again if it was ever re-released on a modern platform. I enjoyed this so much on the GameCube its one of a few games i'm happy to re purchase and enjoy going for all the achievements / any online stuff in it. It appears i got my wish
Its already here, see attachment But on a serious note nothing as of yet, i have a feeling it will probably come to PC at a later date, as all the recent Sonic games have (Episode 1, 2 and Generations).
