So, I decided to play some good old Call of Duty, and I joined a barebones match, and everyone was complaining about how I was using a gun and it was quickscoping only. Since when was there RULES in a PUBLIC lobby?!? I later sent the guy complaining a message saying that exact same thing about the complaining and the public lobby. He ended up grunting in agreement and leaving the game. What do you guys think about people ruining other peoples fun by swearing at them and insulting them at everything they do? Public lobbies should be fun and carefree, I felt more agitated playing that game then driving during the rush hour for my first time...
Yup I agree, its all too easy for people to sawer and hurl abuse at you on live, Ive had the same happen to me on the original Gears of War. I joined an Annex game and was trying to play Annex, apparently it was a sniper deathmatch game so when i killed some one with a shotgun and captured a point everyone went crazy... yet no one bothered to tell me that when I joined the PUBLIC game... I just mute people on live now, whats the point in getting in to an argument with some random guy on live? especially with little kids who have a better weapon than you, then have a tantrum when you kill them. I've noticed the rules appear to have magically changed by the majority of people playing on quite a few older games, I guess the hardcore players get bored of playing by the rules?
I completely agree, Nutter. Usually I mute people when the have annoying background noise because that is just plain annoying to hear... But people like the guys I played with, i just like hearing them complain when I spray an entire RPD clip into them Usually on games like that I play with the worst classes, such as OMA Danger Close and Commando just to hear them complain Sniper lobbies suck, so I told him that if he wants a sniper match, that he make a private match and then he can complain without me hearing his nonsense.
I say if they want "special rules" then they can make a private match as its exactly for things like that. Personally when i get on MW2 I mute everyone that isn't on my friends list so I still pretty much treat it as if i'm in party chat. Although I just usually do 3rd person so I can stay in party chat with that.
