This demo doesn't require a modified console and isn't console locked. If you need more help then whats included in the instructions, perhaps try this guide if burning multiple demos or this one if burning only a single demo.

Instructions:
Extract the ghm.rar (You'll need WinRAR to do that)
Use a burning program to burn the content folder to CD or DVD. (In some cases DVD will work better. Imgburn seems to be the best program for burning!)
Insert CD/DVD, go to Demos tab on your Xbox 360 dashboard, select the game.
Enjoy!

Oh i would try it if i had an guitar controller for xbox...
But i will buy GHWT and will get an guitar then
Have GH on ps2 and it owns... Gonna sell it so i can afford GHWT...

The guitar hero 3 demo was playable via 360 controller. I was hoping that the others would be this way but isn't I could play on expert with controller.
Of course I just downloaded it to my HDD, I have a feeling the situation is similar.

Yes, you need a headset. Its for the vocal part of the game.
