Exactly my thinking, you get so much content for buying the retail game... what exactly makes this DLC worth so much?! My pre-order arrived today, I got a nice note telling me it should not be played until after midnight on the 19th lol
I guess one things is that it's all cosmetic, it's not like we need to buy it but the option is there. Kind of like limited editions as you don't need all the extra junk but we buy them anyway.
Yup thats very true, I was just saying yesterday i'm not actually sure why I buy the limited / collectors editions of games. I always have done for the Gears of War and Halo, I think because there my favorite game series and i originally wanted the extra content such as the bonus DVD's and so on. Must admit I have always managed to get the limited edition cheaper than the normal edition of the game, with the exception of Gears 3, although i did save £15 on the limited edition so i dont feel too bad about it. For any other games I just go for the cheapest possible copy.
I agree with both Lem and Nutter, its all cosmetic... if nothing else the cog tag will look nice with various other stuff i have from games and i enjoy looking through all the little extras. As nutter says I usually i buy online and check websites that specialise in deals, if you want the limited editions you can often pick them up for cheaper than the normal edition is sold for in shops, so why not?
Bought the season pass, downloaded my ltd edition dlc. STILL DONT HAVE THE GAME! I wouldn't think it would take 3 weeks to get here even by boat. Looks like I'll have to find a video store to rent it from this weekend >_<
Ouch I figured you would probably have it within a week, two at the most You can easily finish the campaign in a weekend, then your set for Xbox Live when the game does turn up!
I thought it was bad that it took me a week to get it! I'd say it's definitley worth renting lem_is_cool It's also not that hard to rank up in MP and I can't see interest in the game dying out quickly so you'll be fine
The campaign is probably about 9-10 hours on hardcore, the odd hard / annoying bit here and there but generally action packed and enjoyable. Did you manage to finish it?
Yup, all finished, the hardest thing was my xbox is on it's last legs (again) so every 10 minutes or less it would freeze up on me. So looks like I'm heading out to buy a new xbox and see if I can get any trade in value off my old one. There's some cheapish 4g slim models so I'm thankful you guys have that 360 hard drive thread!
Sounds like the console needs reflowed. Of course that would take out the warranty, which they probably check for at the stores.
Did all the checks, It's been fixed up my Microsoft about 5 times, it just doesn't seem to want to proceed to the full on red ring faze. My girlfriend let me get a new xbox so i picked up the 4g model for $250 and shortly i'll be taking apart my old hard drive and will plug that in and hopefully it should be good from there.
