Source: MSN tech and gadgets Microsoft hopes that 'Bing' will be the killer search engine and believes it will get more popular than Google. Microsoft has not yet put the website up to the public but will put it up to public soon however they have put up a video on Bing to show what it will contain.
Probably a good thing. As my good old Google isn't what it used to be with all their ads, junky results thanks to forum systems, and Chrome/Toolbar shit.
I think it'll take alot to beat Google but it's great to see this and Wolfram|Alpha giving Google some good competition. In response to Munky's post: Bada boom, bada Microsofts new search engine
I've tried it for a while now and it doesn't seem to filter out more messy and unrelated search results than Google, and it would seem like that isn't a hard thing to do for a starting search engine that has less results archived to begin with. Sure you'll get your porn, but I'd not suggest Bing for primary use at this moment.
Does Google not have a porn problem anyway? Turn safe search off and your almost guaranteed something to do with porn when searching for images.
I think that for now, Bing is not much better than Google but maybe with some time, it can give Google some decent competition. At least they are making the attempt right?
I think me going around on my hands and knees to the library to look for information in an encyclopaedia was more use than windows live search. God it was awful.
