Hi. Im planning to reinstall vista but my recovery partition was erase by mistake and I dont have the original vista cd. do you think it will work if I use my friend's vista cd and just use my own product key upon activation? Thanks in advance.
You will need to do a bit more than that, if you follow this guide it should work though: https://digiex.net/computing-sectio...ow-re-install-vista-without-recovery-dvd.html
Try and install from a DVD with SP2 integrated, it takes longer to install the service packs than it does to install Vista
Hi. Regarding the link, on the part where you use any version of vista. Does it has to be the original Vista CD or Vista DVD. What I have is only the recovery cd/s from another vista laptop. Do you think the recovery cd will work?
Its been done with a Fujitsu recovery DVD on a HP laptop and it worked fine, the HP laptop did however have Fujitsu branding when you looked at the system properties, still worked as normal though. Aslong as the recovery DVD actually lets you install Vista and doesn't dump a pre installed image on to the computer it will work fine.
That would be majorly illegal and we dont have it on any hidden forums either. I'm afraid if you are looking for that your need to use another site.
