Prototype was a fantastic game! I'm going to let Trebor handle the response to this one as he really enjoyed that game. All yours Trebor...;)

I got to agree with you on that one. It was sorta cool at first but then it just got really boring. The story wasn't all that great and the mini-games got really boring very quickly.

I wouldn't say it was a waste of time but I was rather let down with how the story ended. Even more let down when I finished the game and it wouldn't let me clear all the infected or military zones! But what was there was good. A really big city to literally run all over, great use of powers and the enemies weren't bad either. Not to mention the whole stealth element to the game and how you could mix things up a bit (hmmm destroy this infected building with a tank, helicopter, rocket launcher...). Plus it had those secret orbs that helped you gain experience which in turn unlocked new abilities. If you've played Crackdown you should know how addicting collecting those dam orbs can be :) Must not forget that some of the side missions weren't bad either. I liked the web of intrigue and how you could either just run up to the target, grab them and absorb their memories or go in stealthily. Though those bits got stressful near the ending of the game what with the military being more aggresive and more infected people everywhere...

Burnout Paradise: I wanted to play crash mode because I remembered liking that in the older games, but then I found out it didn't have crash mode..

    Same.

I do sometimes give it a go with some freinds but never by myself.
I also regret buying Brothers In Arms Hells Highway. Enjoyed the previouse game but took this back the same day.

Flight Simulator X for the PC, for that you'll need a MONSTER PC (which I don't haaaaaaaave!) and it LAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGS! (even with a souped-up pc)

I actually enjoyed Alone In the Dark. It's not the best survival game out there by any means, but I thought it was a decent experience. One of my favorite features for the game was how every time you started up the game, it would give you a "Previously on Alone in the Dark..." summary of the past highlights of the game you've played up to that point; the same kind of summary that TV shows have.

I thought the game was way too slow paced, pretty lame in my opinion. Honestly it didn't need the "Previously on Alone in the Dark" as its pretty easy to figure out what to do in that game and you don't really need to know what just happened. RPG games on the other hand would be great to have something like that, as if you don't pay full attention sometimes you'll be lost for the longest time *cough* Lost Odyssey *cough* .

I find Final Fantasy XIII one of the most boring games i've ever played almost put me to sleep while playing(watching it more like than playing it), it's more like a film than a game half the time with so many cutscenes which I know you can skip but if you skip one it will take you to a next one lol. I seriously do regret buying that game now.

Final Fantasy games (from VII and up) have always been like this. They've always been a turn-based RPG and they've always had a lot of movie clips (from X and up). So its rather easy to tell what the gameplay is like and that there would be a lot of movie clips (telling from the 3 discs). I just don't really see how someone could make the mistake to buy this game and not knowing anything about it...maybe its just me.

I wouldn't exactly judge someone for not knowing about that. Look at Metal Gear Solid 4. From knowing the series, you know that there are a lot of cutscenes along with actual gameplay. But I wouldn't have expected some cutscenes to be 30-45 minutes. Some RPG games that are on multiple discs don't necessarily have tons of cutscenes, just a long story and a lot of content.
