That sucks I figured Microsoft had someway to check to see if you used a code or not. Most likely because anything like that you have to redeem it on your account and with out a code matching his gamer tag its a Big Red Flag
Now that's just plain tough and crude of Microsoft... No warnings whatsoever... I remember watching a video on youtube about this guy whose console got banned from Live, he too allegedly didn't receive a warning. It is clear that these guys aren't playing around... they mean business... This guy has been made an example of and a message is being sent. So if he changes his Gamertag, will he then be able to join Live again?
no as email states pernament M$ really are coming down on hackers and pirates now which is why i went via members section and gamestop.ie way
btw all they would need to ban is play history and purchase since all redeems get logged in there which is probably how there doing it and also probably to protect the excluitivtly of beta to retail unlocks which most are golden guns
but that would require seriously sophisticated algorithms, time and money.... but, of course, anything to suppress the non-law abiding gamer
Well everyone has known M$ ban's that's nothing new and they don't have to give you a warning they can do it at anytime because its in the terms you agree to when you setup your live account, and its wouldn't really be limited thing if anyone could do it now would it.
lol and what one of them doesn't M$ have, and if your on Live and have a modded console/gamer tag/ or games you didn't pay for/redeem code its kinda of your own fault if you get banned
how is this possible? ban for beta? My three beta codes from yesterday (that worked but cant redeem because of IP lock) are now "already used". what about CONFLAG remover?
there only flaging people that have no redeem code linked to their account con remover would do anything as it would have already logged on xbl and recently playing
or it could be the code linked to the account like with the bulletstorm code some codes start on different days
Hey there, I have a GoW 3 beta on my xbox that I got via injecting but I haven't launched it yet what should I do?
Thats the email sent out to people who pirated Forza 3 and were stupid enough to go on Xbox Live with it weeks before release. From looking about on the net no one has got banned who played it without a code. I would be surprised if anyone did get banned to be honest, your not pirating a game, and whats to say your profile didn't play the beta on a friends console or even with a different profile played it on your console? They are plenty of legit ways to get data from the Gears 3 beta on your profile without actually having redeemed a code for it.

Some people are staying up all night dying for a beta code, while there are much easier ways to get a completely legit code to redeem. Epic and Microsoft like to deny it (as they delete any code source from their forums that is not related to pre-ordering), but apparently countries that don't have a Gears 3 pre-order partner listed, like the Netherlands, do have codes spread out to most major game stores. Those game stores (Game Mania, bol.com, and many more) are usually giving away codes with purchases of Xbox LIVE products, like MS points and Gold membership. Some only give them out with full games. This way, you can basically get a legit code by buying as little as 800 MS Points. Beats 'staying up all night in hopes for a code' if you ask me. I'm pre-ordering this game anyway, but it'll be cool to have more people playing in the beta!
That is an admin of the forum but ofcourse they aren't gonna say it's cool to inject it to USB and i'm more than willing to bet no one gets banned from the actual game. I personally am not much of a believer people are getting banned unless it comes from a personal source, if the laptop wasn't down i'd test it myself.
I went through all kinds of sites (forgot how many spent over a hour looking through sites) but from what I can gather is they are looking for gamer tags that don't have a redeem code/ download through XBL there are some people that have "claimed" they used a secondary account after did the USB load way and logged on and it worked at first then they got kicked off and went to log back on it came up with this account is not authorized please enter valid code (or something close to that)
