Xbox Offline Xbox Live Downloadable Content [DLC] Installers

Please send me the default.xbe from the game too so I can extract the relevant information for making said installers. I have to head out to do some errands, but I'll be back in a few hours and I'll make that Halo 3 TU installer for jtags. Thanks again!

I thought I'd better register and give my thanks to Harcroft and others for making this content available. I'm particularly interested in making the booster packs for PGR2 PAL compatible; I have a spare PAL copy of the game so if there is anything I can do please let me know. I am happy to send it to you by post if required (you can get copies of the game for about £1/$1 so it's no loss to me if I don't get it back).

Hello. I'm French and have a lot of Xbox games PAL (near all games) and some modified Xbox systems. If there's tests to made, I can help.

 

WM21 when did they do the patch cos i had it from when it came out played it and never had any title update for it. So how did they patch it.

 

Neoteam1 I downloaded the update in 2008 myself. The game doesn't try to update when you launch it, only when you try to sign in to xbox live. So if you don't have live, you wouldn't get the update option.

As for people offering retail games. We needed these FOUR YEARS AGO when we asked for help, not to mention the help I kept asking for up until live was shut down. Offering retail games without the DLC to go with it is absolutely useless for furthering the project now. So since I've been seeing a pot of posts, and receiving even more PM's and IM's about how retails will help the project, I'm just going to start ignoring them. It's too little, too late, and also depressing that people didn't care until it was too late.

Halo 2 JTAG Title Updates

It's a stripped down installer, just the 2 title updates (don't use both), no loading screens, no music, no reset button (the reset button just crashes in FreeBoot anyway). Either update will take up a little under 6mb space, but they report as 10mb in the 360 Memory menu so thats what I put in the CDX launcher. There's no readme, but anyone using a FreeBoot console to install DLC really shouldn't need it. The DLC in the current installer here is up to date, so don't worry about getting a new DLC installer.

Make sure to say NO to the system update request you may get when launching xbox1 games on your JTAG console.

Keep the requests (and actual content contributions) coming and I'll find more time to crank out these JTAG only updates, more installers, updated old installers etc. I really need your help to push myself back into doing these.

If you haven't run the game you'll need to create the /Compatibility/Xbox1/TDATA/4d530064/ folder. You could also delete the old update from the system menu but then you'd need to create the folder, or run the game at least once before running the installer again.

Thanks for the Halo 2 Jtag Title Update Harcroft, I was looking forward to that one too.

If you have no idea where to start next the title updates for Unreal Championship 1 + 2 and Time Splitters Future Perfect for Jtag users would be great.

Unreal Championship 1 had no title update, but 2 had 2 different ones. I included both and simple instructions on dealing with them. TimeSplitters Future Perfect can run but has serious control issues that make it unplayable. Nonetheless your updates are done. Glad you like the Halo 2 one.

...and now after doing all of that, I realize the old TimeSplitters update works fine. The updated Title Update installers are only needed for games with both DLC and Title Updates. Oh well it's done now anyway.

...ugh I need sleep. Will resume work tomorrow.

 

Thanks Harcroft, you are right about the TimeSplitters Future Perfect serious control issues.
I copied it to my Jtag ages ago and it loaded to the main menu fine so i presumed it worked... should have played it lol. Oh well still got my classic Xbox for that!

What work do you have left to do on the installers now? got any more DLC we do not have here yet?

How did you get it to work, im on the 12611 dash, jtag, and i put the 3 files tht were inside the u15 folder into the compatibility/xbox1/tdata/4d530064/$U
and when i start it up using either the xbe in the h2 folder or in the $U folder, it says the original xbox game has encountered an error and needs to close. any help would be greatly appreciated, ive been tryin to get this to work nonstop for 36hrs =/

*edit* when i extract the entire folder onto my hdd and run the default.xbe thts in the root folder, it says this original xbox game is not compatible" but i do have the hacked compatability files

 

You need to copy the hacked xbox1 emulator files to partition 2.

 

i did =/, thts y im wonding why it wont work, i have the 12611 dash, and the lastest fsd and dashlaunch and the hacked emu files in partition 2

i can play h2 with the disc but if i try and run it from the hard drive i get an error

 

If you're getting that error, you do NOT have the hacked emulator files. If you had read the first post at all, you'd have figured out how the installers worked, and the "latest" means absolutely nothing when it comes to DashLaunch. For all you know the latest is 1.09 or 1.19 which has known xbox1 emulator issues. The latest is 2.21 and it has some too.

So to fix your problem, get the hacked emulator files for partition 2, and update to dashlaunch 2.21, and please read the instructions and double check your installed files first.

 

I realized how to install it after i posted that first time. I do have dashlaunch 2.21,
now which hacked emu files do i use, i have 2 different ones..i have venomous fires which only has a few additional files tht go in partition 2 and then i have another one tht has a whole lot more than venom's pack. right now i have venom's files on partition 2
