games not working after system update 2011

    sir i have modified my xbox 360 from some shop and than i have updated my console then i put my game cd in cd tray than it says play dvd,no game starts after updating

    is this game a burned one? if so you need the xbox 360 reflashed to play these games again.

    game shows dvd

    dont flsh your xbox 360 after system 2011 update try to get magic swap ,first insert magic swap dvd once you load it than take out from tray and insert any game dvd, than it will play .

    magic swap is something for ps2 i believe but it wont work for xbox 360 its not that easy

    you do play burnt xbox 360 games right? if you do then this update reflashed your console so it doesn't read them anymore,it needs reflashed

    I think he is refering to the xbox 360 activation disc that allows you to play like the magic swap did.

    If it's a retail game (ergo, you bought it at a game store), your console is bricked--Microsoft will fix this for free, provided your console has the warranty sticker on it (even if it's damaged). Just call them up and tell them the update killed your console. They'll also send you a free month of XBL as a gift :P. I got my console back a few days ago because the update did the same thing to mine.
