I just used this tutorial thanks alot
I have a 320gb WD bevt first I formated it but it was only showing half of space only 164gb,
So I tried it again but didnt do a quick format because the hard drive used to be on my HP laptop so it was ntfs before
So I guess it right it fixed it so I had to redo the whole process.

But both time it came up with this error 'lba size seems to be an unsupported xbox 360 value' but after that it said it was ok for my xbox 360 havent tested it yet because im waiting for my xbox 360 to arrive.

The fist time I used the program it gave me the undo.bin file the second time it didnt but it said it was already flashed with it I just repeated just in case because I reformated it.

Seem ok to me but im not 100% sure ill post back with my outcome hope this helps someone else or let me know if anyone had this same issue thanks.

I knew of someone who used to take wd hard drives that were like 500g and formatting them to be used as like a 320g for the 360... he could also use like an 80g or a 40g and so on and so forth. So my question is I have a couple that are like 80g and 160g lying around and was curious as to how i format and write them to be used for the 360?

If its a drive Hddhackr will work with then yes, e.g. a 160gb drive would have to be flashed with a 120gb security, a 40gb drive could be hacked with a 20gb security sector and so on.

Playing with a 80JJ5TO here, have done a WD3200BPVT 00JJ5TO and a WD3200BEVT before in a few minutes with success prior to this one. Got the sector 16 error in HDDHACKR, then used the Hex Workshop method that was described earlier, even cloned a working WD3200BPVT out of one of my XBOX 360s.........I spent so much time on this that buying a new Microsoft 320GB retail drive would have been cheaper. I will keep everyone posted on my progress, whether it means returning the drive to the store or actually succeeding. I'd stay away from the 80JJ5TO though because the sector 16 error seems inevitable and the time it takes to get these working is not worth the savings.

Recreate the usb drive with the free dos folder instead of ms-dos. Just hit enter when it prompts for date & time.

You need a modified console for that.

Hello everyone :) I bought a 320GB blue scorpio, did it bootable and copy HDDSS.bin and HDDHACKR.exe. Then I restart my PC, went to BIOS and change boot options to USB (I have this hdd connect with usb to IDE/SATA cable), used IDE instead of AHCI and saved it. My PC started to command prommpt and I typed "hddhackr", then it listed me all hdds, but scorpio wasn't there. Any solutions or ideas please? Thanks to all

You have to use a direct connection, hard drive to 1st sata port. Usb to sata will not work for this.

so it must be the first SATA port? I tried to plug in some of my four ports and it didn't work, so it maybe wasn't the first one

I have a problem I can not solve it. I bought a WD3200BPVT - 22JJ5T0(Amazon.com) and my PC was not working. Always said: Reading HDD sector 16 failed! DRQ error: 0x0802. Then I write the sectors 16-22 using HexWorkshop. After I used Hddhacker to create partitions 0,2 and 3. The progam Xplorer360 320GB HD recognizes the partitions but my console not.

Just wanted to stop in and say thank you for this guide. I had some trouble initially only to find out that it was because I wasn't using a direct connection (was using SATA to USB).

Anyway, just thought I'd update to let people know that the WD3200BEVT (I got mine off eBay for cheaper though) worked with version hddhackr1.3.

One question though, what is partition 0 used for? Mine didn't show up in Xplorer 360 but it is working fine in my xbox right now.
