Hey..i have xbox 360 slim 320Gb hard disk jtagged..bt my disc drive(dvd drive) is not working.....and I just installed gta 5 on my external hard disk and when I try to play it say's its an installded game insert orignal game disc..but my xbox disc drive is not working...plzz tell me what to do..and also the game is not moving from external hard disk to xbox hard disk...
How did you install it to your external HDD? Also, what kernel are you using? You need kernel 16202 or later to launch the game. I had the same problem trying to launch Watch Dogs, which I played before GTA 5. I set up GTA 5 on my RGH by extracting the contents of both discs, taking the folders/files from the "Content" folder on Disc 1 and placing them in my Xbox HDD, as you would DLC or an Arcade game, and using Disc 2 on my external HDD like a normal game (launching default.xex through XexMenu). The game works for me, without having to use any physical discs.
I installed the game from my friends xbox by inserting the gta 5 disk into his xbox 360 drive and then I connected my external hard disk to it and the option pops up in which hard drive you want to install the game and then I chose my external hard disk...and then when it complete with its installation.. I plugged it into my xbox and tried to play..but it say's insert orignal disc to play the game...
This tutorial should cover converting installed games to Game on Demand format. I'm not sure if this will work with GTA 5 as it is a 2-Disc game, but that should stop the prompt for inserting the disc. If you have the disc 1 content installed, it should work after converting it.
Acording to the tutorial I done everything but it not show my game in the nxe2god..it say no nxe file found what to do
