    Hi all,
I am trying to get a full set of tools to get the savegames from my pokemon games from gen 3 to 5, and to edit them/inject pokemons and wondercard. Currently I can do everything in gen 4 and 5, as I have the NDS adaptor plus that lets me extract and inject the savegames in the catridges, then I can edit them with pokegen. I also have an R4 with all pokemon distributions roms loaded, included modded ones with all the wondercards of all events of gen 4 and 5.

Now I am trying to understand how to do the same for Gen 3,6 and 7.

    For Gen 3, I found this https://digiex.net/threads/nds-mystery-gift-tool-inject-pokemon-gen-3-wondercards-and-events.14864/
that lets me inject the wondercard in the physical catridge. However, I still found no way to extract the savegame: is there and nds rom I could load on my R4 that lets me get the extract the save file form the catridge in the GBA slot and save it in the R4? And is there any program I can use to edit the savegame, basically extract or inject pokemons?

For Gen 6, I understand that as I have the digital versions of the games is not possible to hack them. However I was thinking of 2 possible solutions:
1)Running the ROMS on PC, is it possible to edit the savefiles? And it is possible to acces the internet and trade with other players?
2)Getting another 3DS and homebrew it. After that, it should be possible to do what I want...

uhm ok this program seems to be able to edit all savegames, including gen 1-3 and 6-7. Still have to understand how to extract them from the physical catridge

Pokemon Gen 1 and 2 save backup and restore (PC and USB GameBoy cartridge reader)
Pokemon Gen 3 save backup and restore (GBA Backup Tool - Nintendo DS)
Pokemon Gen 4 and 5 save backup and restore (TWL Save Tool - 3DS)
Pokemon Gen 6 and 7 save backup and restore (SaveDataFiler - 3DS)

To use GBA backup tool you need a DS or DS lite with a GBA flashcard

To use both TWL Save Tool and SaveDataFiler you need a 3DS running CFW, the best way to hack any 3DS regardless of firmware is to follow https://3ds.guide

To edit any of your Pokemon Save Games from Gen 1 - 7 Pkhex has you covered and is continuously updated with new features.

    https://github.com/FIX94/gba-link-cable-dumper

I've used this in the past for Gen3 games, it requires a Homebrew'd Wii+Link Cable. It's by no means a perfect program but it worked well enough for me.

It's always good to have different options for save game backup and restoration if you ask me.
