    btw

No need to bother with super complicated/unstable processes using VBA or NO$ to run this on emulator. mGBA is far easier.

Run distro rom on mGBA, hit File --> New Multiplayer Window, load Gen. III game with GBA BIOS enabled and holding Start+Select

Then you can send from the distro rom window and it works just fine. Don't even need to mess with settings or change file names for anything, or to fight with NO$GBA's UI to get the games to load in the right order.

(It doesn't support Wireless Adapter emulation, though, so you'd still need to use a different emulator for Aurora Ticket.)

Thanks for the info. Actually, it's very easy to use in VBA once you know to re-select a pokemon when the other window freezes. But VBA is still shit for Mixing Records or Trading. I was trying to deliver on a video request of transferring the Regi Doll decorations from JP Ruby > JP Emerald > ENG Emerald, but 90% of the time VBA would give a connection error, creating a total nightmare. I remember the same problem when I tried trading with VBA many months ago. Not sure if mGBA has a built in recorder though.

Also, for whatever reason the Aurora Ticket isn't working in VBA for me anymore, when it always had in the past. Apparently something about the Wireless Adapter being activated in both windows causes one window to freeze or lag badly. But anyway, I'm just venting my problem I guess, because since it worked before I figure it's something with my PC. Regardless, I still can't fix the issue.

Might as well use a separate program for recording, imo. Lay out everything how you like it for your video in OBS studio and it works wonders. Only thing is, I (and many others) have this weird sound glitch with it where it'll randomly squeak and cut out, and come back right away. Not sure what causes it.

Just don't forget to enable sound capture though, haha. Because afaik it's disabled by default.

(Maybe NO$ supports Wireless? Don't remember)

First of all, thank you so much @Deoxyz for making these roms available. I've been trying to find a non-hacking way to get these Pokemon for quite a long time.

I've got some questions because I want to save as much money as possible doing this. First, does any flash cart work? The cheapest one I found reformats the roms to be playable on the cart and I'm not sure if the events will work on it. Also, do any of the events work only with a link cable or only with a wireless adapter? I only have a 3rd party link cable and need to know if I need to buy a legit link cable or wireless adapters. Thx

Its been tested on a really old Flash2Advance and works fine, it also works on an EverDrive X5, so I would suspect this works on most flash cards old or new.

All the GBA events use a link cable with the exception of the AuroraTicket, which requires two wireless adaptors.

Adding on to what InsaneNutter said, I want to note that third party link cables are notorious for not working properly, particularly for stuff like this that require utilizing the multiboot function. There's a chance yours will work fine, but if it doesn't, just know that you'll probably need to purchase an official cable. I think a used cable goes for fairly cheap, but I'm not quite sure about the Wireless Adapters. I bought my Wireless Adapters a few years ago for a few dollars each, on separate occasions at a local used game store out of a miscellaneous accessory bin. eBay may be different.

You can get the original GBA/GBA SP Wireless Adapters off eBay for around $10 US. However, the Game Boy Micro Wireless Adapters are more expensive. Cheapest I saw for a Micro Wireless Adapter was $39.99 US back in April, which I promptly bought.

It amazes me how all these years later and I can still learn something new about GameBoys. I never heard of or knew a GameBoy Micro Wirelss Adapter existed. I just looked it up and they seem to average around $100 per piece. I'm assuming these will connect with a regular GBA Wireless Adapter, or are two Micro Adapters required?

    UPDATE:

I used the cheapest flash card and the cheapest link cable on eBay and it worked! I think that if it works for trading, then it should work for transferring event Pokemon. All that is needed is that the "master" GameBoy (the one that says "Awaiting 2p linkup press A to confirm" when trading) is the one with the flashcard inserted. As you can see in the attached pictures, the ends of the link cables are sized differently. In my case with my link cable, the smaller one needs to be attached to the GameBoy with the flash card or else it will not work. Hopefully this is the explanation why it sometimes transferring Pokemon doesn't work with some people (if not, I guess I just got lucky). Hope this helps people that have problems with their third-party link cables. IMG_3974.JPG IMG_3976.JPG

Great feedback there @FireRed437 that should hopefully be very useful to people looking to distribute these Pokemon on a budget. Glad you got everything working in the end!

Aside from being sized for the Micro (and having its link port), it's functionally identical GBA Wireless Adapter. Basically you can take a Micro, its Wireless Adapter and a flash cart to make the world's smallest Aurora Ticket distribution machine.

It sounds like you're not connected to an English game, on Window 2

Hi. Thank you guys so much for doing what you guys are doing. I am a poor college student but plan on getting a job once college starts. I would like to help contribute to the cause once I get a little more financially stable. Any events you guys are going for right now or in the near future?

I have something in the works as of recently, provided I can gather the financial support needed. Feel free to send me a private message when you can afford a contribution. I appreciate the help!
