Thanks for this. I was hoping this would be fix my problem but it doesn't look like it did. Here's the OS I'm dealing with. I don't know if I have to wait until the next release. But to make a long story short I tried to install a new 2tb SSD, I accidentally erased my original drive and I'm trying to do the offline update to start from scratch but it keeps giving me the e101 error.

You need to prepare the SSD for use in the Xbox One using this script: https://github.com/Juvenal1/xboxonehdd or another equivalent script, i think if you look around theirs newer scripts that might work on Windows also.

Thanks again. I'll walk you through my process.

1st try: i thought I was all set, I had done my research, I was following a guide to take apart my xbox one x and knew which videos had the script and instructions to transfer the data from my old drive to my new one.

As it turns out, I was following an old guide on YouTube and just downloaded the links from it. They were for Xfix's first script xboxonehdd-5 and I mistakenly selected the wrong drive to erase and I believe erased my original drive. Rookie mistake.

2nd Try: After putting my xbox one x back together and having the e106 error occur I took it back apart, realized my mistake and downloaded Xfix's latest script. I just had to say screw it and partition the drive following the instructions in this video:
This was when I had September's OSU1 and after the partitioning I plugged my hard drive back in tried the offline update, no dice.

After that I tried several different options including adding the A/B folder to the update partition, still nothing. Then I realized my update must be beyond the official update after doing a lot of research and finding your threads. So I decided to wait for the new one, it only took a do or so for this release to drop.

So I did the process in Xfix's video all over again and still nothing. I did this to both drives and still nothing but the e106 on startup and e101 error on the offline update.

I even did the A/B folders in the update partition like before. Still the same result. Currently in my system I have the SSD after a fresh wipe and partitioning and I have October's release in my flash drive for the offline update. Nothing has worked so far. So I'm thinking it must be the OS on my nand flash. It doesn't want to let go or the October release isn't far enough ahead of my OS to overtake it.

I'm open to suggestions, I really don't want to send this in, but I will if no one has any solutions.

Also I noticed whenever I did a fresh wipe and partition, there is nothing in the folders as there should be. But when I plug it back into my xbox and take it out of the Xbox to look at it on my PC, I notice that the Xbox had added files to the partitions like the update partition, one of the files it adds is the updater.xvd file but its from 2019. I don't know if that has anything to do with the problem but I thought it was odd.

Thanks for all of your help, your threads have been an excellent resource.
