OK, thank you again. I understand the logic, however, the HDD was only formated once, by plugging it directly in the Xbox360 console, without the use of the cable. The guys at Gamestop kept saying all you need to do is follow the screen instructions. In reading about this issue, I now know that a new HDD includes a CD that indeed gives you screen instructions. But Gamestop sold me just a plastic box with the used HDD, no CD. No instructions came up except...- franjayo

Rick, Thank you very much for your help, I am quite inexperienced, ideas are very welcome. However, as I explained before: "Formated the 120gb in the console." I purchased a used 120gb Xbox360 HDD in Gamestop. It has been a while since I was able to get a transfer cable, 30 day warranty gone. Manager not willing to help without recepit which I also lost.
