    @rick550 Thanks for your response... I tried your instructions and now when I boot with the drive attached, "something" is detected on a sata...

    Great tutorial! I got a new Slim and a WD2500BEKT manf: 12 May 2010 I got the flash to take after several tries... tried different sata ports......
