Someone got the Red light on X360 slim

I guess this dashboard is dangerous, my friend also encountered the same error on his xbox 360 slim. Be aware that this could damage your xbox 360. My xbox is safe btw I dont have a slim :)

I'm surprised this hasn't happened to me as I constantly have to keep canceling the update and trying again because i'm using my laptop to connect to live. It likes to be nothing less then a total bitch. I can download demos and things like that insanely fast but a 90MB update takes forever and sometimes stops in the middle. I also am in the preview program but the 360 isn't a slim.

It's really a dumb idea you say? Crap, I've been stuck with a laptop for an eternity...

I used to also use a laptop to connect my 360 to Xbox Live... that didn't work out too well a lot of the time. After that I used to run a 25 meter Ethernet cable upstairs when I wanted to play on live, that wasn't really the safest thing to do though.

Finally I was allowed to wire the house up with network points. So we now have a network point in my room with a switch connected to it. We have one in the living room for the meda center, one in the dining room for the parents PC and finally one in the kitchen for a modded Xbox running XBMC to stream media to the TV in there.

    This isn't a RRoD, it's a system error.
