So I have been working on this for about 10 hours today trying to figure this out*-). First i bought a 250g hard drive(third party xbox 360 drive cause but no tag or serial numbers on it) from Buy.com and got it today. Try it out on my xbox, nothing.
it come swith a little disc that has expolrer360 on it which is no help to me if it dosen't work. Anyway the drive is a WD 2500 BEVT but it was already flashed to hitachi(which i think cause the problem with the 250g bin). for some reason it just wouldn't work so i decided to try out the 120g bin worked fine:|.kinda sucks i lost all that space:-@ but after as long as i tried i was happy to make progress.Been on this forum a lot today so thanks for all the tips. I will be ordering a 250g hard drive off of newegg soon to replace this one now that i know what to do. probably will keep this to put movies on so if i go on a trip or something where i can take my box i will have it as back up maybe even some games.

so basically they left out the undo.bin so you could turn it back to a factory wd because if that was there you might of been able to flash with the 250 hddss.bin
