    My son gets this error message when he clicks on his offline profile;

    "Your console can't connect to Xbox LIVE. Do you want to exit this session and test your network "connection?

    I do have a Live profile. I have the console to boot-up to the dashboard, no automatic sign-in for either profiles.
    There were two updates in the past few days, could they have f--ed up something?

    So if he says no can he still use the profile?

    Your son has not converted his offline profile to an online one has he?

    There is a solution for that .

    1. Go to your xbox dashboard , then settings . Go into Family settings .
    2. Switch Family settings on & it will ask you to create a pass code ( just button combinations. I always use X,X,X,X ) .
    3. Now go to Xbox Live Access & select "blocked" . You can do the same with Xbox Live Membership Creation.

    This should stop that message from appearing .

    Note :

    If you enable Family settings please be sure to enter Game Ratings as well , otherwise some games will ask for you to change ( Game Ratings ) it .

    So will I have to sign in using the pass code everytime?
