Hi Guys, in order to play 1 stupid game i had to update the xbox. I wish i hadn't bothered! So i finally got the update to work by renaming the updflash.bin to nandflash.bin and adding a xenon.elf file to the usb stick. previous to the renaming it just kept assuming the device was fat and sticking there. rebooted to find the avatars, game images and kinect all not working properly. OK so next $$ystemUpdate.time, this fixed the kinect and the avatar issues but i still am not seeing the game images themselves. I can click on the grey square with the name of the game and it will play, kinect titles included, but the images themselves will not load. Anyone come across this before? If i knew the file structure maybe i could check if it needs a rename or changed in anyway but at this point i am stuck. Please help? thanks Ally :)

This is normal on a Jtag as you cant get on Xbox Live for it to download the cover art on the Ms Dash, if you were seeing art before you probably had FreeStyle Dashboard set to boot instead of the MS Dash when you power the console on.

    Hi Ally,

As InsaneNutter said, that is normal with the latest dashboard versions. Since they changed the size of the pictures, they are no longer pulled from the disc, but rather Xbox Live.

As far as I know, there is no work around for this. I would love to know if there was.

You could always start using Freestyle Dash, it was this issue that actually pushed me into using it.

Hi Guys, thanks for the responses. As far as i am aware i am booting to the MS dashboard, it looks like MS, to access FSD i go through My games and scroll through all the games till i find it. How do i change it to boot to FSD?

You might also need to re install Dashlaunch, the installer now has a GUI where you can choose what XEX to start with the console.
