I have been searching around 2hrs in this forum and I still don't know what happen. To my Xbox 360 kinect.. I bought it for my son and we have play it for 3 yrs ... Seller have remind us not to online coz it has been modded to play burn DVD This morning I put in a DVD that I just bought it It show need updates Asking do you want updates I press ok And now I can't use it stuck at updates error every Times in power on.... Expert pls help me explain what happen? I just know Xbox have firmware n dashboard flashing .. I guess I been banned by Xbox because my console is using modded firmware.. And I stuck at error DO I NEED TO FLASH NEW FIRMWARE and dashboard ? Please I need solution.......my both son very angry with me.......help.....

Yes, the error happens because the dashboard update is trying to update the firmware on the DVD drive. Thats why you need to flash it back to normal so the update can proceed, then you can flash the console back to the hacked firmware after. You need to follow the instructions for the lite-on 74850c drive in the jungle flasher tutorial.
