Party Buffalo Drive Explorer should be able to read the content of the FatX formatted USB drive, obviously dont format the USB drive when Windows asks you. You can inject the hacked save game with that.

I got it to work following a mod guide on youtube. im now running the unleashx dashboard. my next task and hangup is trying to get the dlcs installed to the xbox hard drive. im using xplorer360 to get the downloaded files onto the flash drive, but everytime I try to install the content with the default.xbe file, nothing happens. Am I missing something?

You need to run the DLC installers from the consoles hard drive, you are trying to copy them across as a save game which they are not. Now you have the Unleash dashboard you can FTP in to the console and transfer content to the hard drive.

Basically if your Xbox is connected to your network, you can use a FTP client such as FileZilla, enter the Xbox's IP address along with the username and password xbox then copy files to the E:\ partition. You can then launch these from Unleash.

Harcroft, you might be interested in this: Halo 2 Xbox 360 Multiplayer Map Pack Download - All 4 Map Packs with 1.5 Update - Basically someone has modified the Halo 2 Multiplayer Map Pack disc and managed to get that to sign Xbox Classic DLC which can be installed on a retail Xbox 360 with just a flashed DVD drive. I imagine this could be modified to install other Xbox Classic DLC on the Xbox 360 if their was demand for it.

Hey Harcroft, I was wondering if this whole thread is still active and if you are still continuing work on updating the Mechassault 1 DLC installer and I was also wondering if you could help me. The existing Mechassault 1 installer appears to install the content but then it doesn't appear in-game, I live in Australia and have a softmodded Xbox that is set to NTSC region mode. I am not sure what is going on, I have tried it with and without the included title update and the copy of Mechassault is an NTSC copy that worked on the PAL xbox before it was modded for whatever reason. Any suggestions would be awesome, I just really want the content to work.

What Dashboard do you have on your modified console? most Dashboards have an FTP server. This allows you to use an FTP client on your computer such as FileZilla or FlashFXP and copy the DLC installers to the Xbox's hard drive, then load the installer from the Dashboard to install the content.

You have Unleash X i believe, do you know how to FTP content? if so you just need to find your Xbox's IP address and connect to it via FTP using the username and password: xbox

FTP the DLC Brute Force folder to your Apps folder on the Xbox hard drive, then you can launch the installer from your dashboard.

Was anyone ever able to get Sega GT content? My friend who still has his old xbox may have some material I can get my hands on. He is going to bring it to my place this week to check.

Any chance we can get all the DLC installers to work propperly with 360 Jtags? I tried the one for battlefront 1, and it installed the Jabbas pallace dlc, then when I went to load it in game it froze up the console. trying to install the second DLC in the pack actually crashed the installer. There are a lot of people who still play OG games on their 360s, and are in the same boat as the OG xbox owners, who cant get the DLC from live. :(

Battlefront and Battlefront II each had an Update to install alongside the DLC. The original 2nd installer (update) wont work on a Jtag/RGH even with the modified compatibility partition. What I CAN do is put out an update just for homebrew consoles like for Halo 2, Mechassault 1 and 2, Splinter Cell etc.

I'll work on that tonight or tomorrow. I can not guarantee it will fix your problem, as 360 emulation of Xbox is EXTREMELY spotty at best. If you want better emulation your best bet is asking around the 360 scene. So I understand your frustration, but I do not have a hand in 360 emulation, I will do what I can to help from the content end, but I can't do anything to help fix 360 emulation.

EDIT: Just to be clear. The "JTAG" updates I've released only install what the second (update) installers normally would from the older DLC installers. You still have to run the first (DLC) installer to get any actual DLC.
