I finally got a Nintendo Switch! Yay! I have Breath of the Wild and 2 SD cards with 128 GB capacity, so I should be all set there. The question now is, which additional games to buy? Feel free to suggest both retail and eShop games - as I have gift cards to use on retail games, and an eShop balance greater than 0.

If you never owned a Wii U i'd recommend:

Fast RMX - this is essentially Fast Racing Neo from the Wii U with the DLC included and i believe a couple of new courses also. Honestly one of the most intense racing games i've played.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - this is Mario Kart 8 from the Wii U with the DLC included and a couple of new battle arenas. Mario Kart 8 was worth owning a Wii U for alone so should certainly be in your portable library on the switch.

    Some upcoming games:

Sonic Mania - This will be released next month and looks to be some good classic Sonic fun from the Megadrive / Genesis days.

Bayonetta 1 and 2 - It's rumoured these will be released on the switch in the future, if that happens i can highly recommend them also as both we're great on the Wii U.

If you have never played the following on any other platform or would enjoy portable versions of them, then these might also be worth a look at:
    • Super Bomberman R
    • Minecraft
    • Metal Slug 1 - 3

I have a Wii U with Mario Kart 8 (but none of the DLC). So it sounds like MK8D is well worth it. Fast Racing Neo I never owned before, so the same rationale applies. Thanks!

The MK 8 DLC does add a lot to the game and some great courses from older games. If i didn't own a Wii U i'd already have a Switch for MK 8 and Fast RMX.

I'm probably going to pick one up when the next Pokemon game is released, which might be the end of 2018.

Agree 100% on those two, they are the only games I've got on my Switch but they are by far the best. Brilliant Couch Play with multiple people to is a mega win.

Marble It Up! is one i purchased recently, if you enjoyed Marble Blast Ultra on the Xbox 360 you will love this, its a spiritual successor by some of the people who worked on Marble Blast Ultra.
