Hey Guys, I have the following problem. If I plug my iPhone 6 via USB it tells me "no tracks found". I'd like to play my music from Spotify.
I have a Ford Focus Turnier from January 2012.
Will that update fix the issue? Will I be able to use spotify with the USB port?

    Thanks for the help!

I find with Spotify on my Focus is that I have to open Spotify on my phone and get a song playing before I plug my phone in, and then when I plug my phone in afterwards it works.

Hi Guys, i've registered to the forum after making the update like explained. I have a 2010 ford smax which is listed amoing the cars supported by this software. I've successfully made the update, got the message saying that it was complete, no problem. But when i restart the audio system nothing has changed, i still can't broadcast my audio from iphone to the autoradtio by bluetooth. I check the CD/AUX menu and still can't see Bluetooth in the list. My autoradio looks exactly like the one on the picture in the beginning of this topic. It has bluetooth activated, my iphone is paired, calls are working but not btaudio...

    Hi
Thanks for the info above. in Australia with a 2011 mondeo titanium diesel and their was a read error.. could not read names in phone book on sony original bluetooth radio. Followed above and had issues reading the 8GB capacity USB and just said initialising on the radio screen.. so tried a 4GB capacity USB.. and it started updating.. then I inadvertently started the engine. The screen read updating for 30 minutes... so I stopped the engine and the radio and removed the 4GB USB. Then started the process again and followed the directions more closely and after 20 minutes or so the screen changed from updating screen to successful update and the radio came on. I now have access to the phonebook... :) but still trying to operate the voice commands.. Maybe it is me aussie accent. :) Anyway, thanks for the tips and if you get a read error.. try another USB. cheers Aussiemondy

I too just wanted to say thank you for this fix. I've searched a lot for a solution to what seems a common problem and have been extremely frustrated by the lack of clear answers. This has worked 100% for me and I can now hear the songs (as well as see the track listed) through my Mondeo Mk4 Sony DAB. Howard you're a hero!

My Mondeo has a build date of 13.03.2012 - getting error message "No reply from phone unit". I've tried this update - despite being outside of the stated window, but no updates are applied when I switch on the ignition.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks

I've removed the unit - labelled as CS7T-14D212-AB. It looks like it is no longer made - can anyone recommend a replacement?

    A little more progress:
Unit is labelled as CS7T-14D212-AB. Have checked all connections are OK
Getting some form of response now:
On pairing, the unit is issuing a pin, but nothing progresses when you enter it on the phone, it just times-out. Have tried on various phones.

Hey I have a 2009 Fiesta Titanium and I can't get it to do this update at all! I follow the steps exactly as above, I get in the car, turn the stereo on, plug the USB in, it says no files, then I turn the ignition on, it says it's updating and then it says, "Update failed. Please restart update."

I'm using USB 3.0, are we finding this an issue?

Please help I've tried to do this update so many times!

Is the USB memory stick FAT32 formatted? if not format it to FAT32, if it is then try using an older USB 2 memory stick (not that it should make a difference but you never know).

So my 59 reg fiesta usb hasn't worked for about a year and with recent calls to garages quoting £50+ just to look at it before fixing the problem I was hoping for a miracle. It had previously worked but froze on the same song and wasn't playing anything and not recognising any other device plugged in. We'd tried unplugging the battery formatting the usb and putting songs on again but nothing worked. I was cautious to try this download in case things got worse as that's my luck. I am so happy I did as it worked a treat and it's now fixed! Cannot thank you enough, it has saved my sanity of listening to the same songs on the radio and a shed load of money!!

Fantastic. The bluetooth in my 2011 Focus has been maddeningly connecting and disconnecting from the bluetooth on my phone - just my phone too. Others seemed to work fine.

I tried everything. System reset, changed name of phone, battery disconnect.

In desperation I tried this - followed your instructions and the system updated... and voila... it all works.

    Rock solid connections.

    Thanks!

    Hello,

I would just like to say a big thank you for providing the files (and the updated link to the zip file) and instructions! They are very concise and well written (easy to follow).

    Thoughts BEFORE Installing:

A little hesitant as Bluetooth was working, albeit not every time

    When installed?

I have installed the update today approx. midday 27th November 2017 (In the UK).

    Car Model

I have just installed this on my Fiesta (2010) Titanium X (UK).

    How I proceeded

Plugged the USB (formatted to FAT32 and extracted the zip file using WinZip (OS: Windows 10) directly onto the Kingston (DTSE9 G2) USB 3.0 stick (total size after extraction very small at 93MB, so the smallest USB stick would have worked) and checked it looked the same as the screenshot provided), plugged in the USB stick to the USB port in the console between the driver and passenger seat between the handbrake and the radio (where one would normally find a cigarette lighter, mine has a USB port with a dust cover) > turned on the radio (using the radio power button; before turning on the ignition), as soon as updating appeared on the radio screen I started the car and started driving (home from work)....

    How Long did it take?

...and the update completed within 15-20 minutes (before my journey home had finished).

    Results

The radio now turns on faster, reacts quicker (changing radio station and pressing the buttons) and connects to Bluetooth first time every time (this was a little intermittent before the update).

This works great for my phone (Google Pixel 2 XL running Android 8.1 Oreo) for Bluetooth streaming songs from Google Play Music (Similar to iTunes and Spotify), Google Maps (Satellite Navigation) and Phone calls (hands free).

    Thoughts After Installing

Wish I had installed the update when I brought the car (3 weeks ago)!

    Next
Playing MP3 files directly from a USB stick

    Thanks again!

@cosmindaniel if your saying the car doesn't have a USB port you might well not be able to follow this tutorial and have to take it to a dealership. You could try burning the update files to a CDR and just see if it will be detected from that.
