This is one of them TV shows people keep telling me I should watch but I never get round to it, the same happened with Heroes but now I’m hooked on it!

At some point I intend to watch at least one episode of this.

One of the best shows on TV. Hugh Laurie is just amazing, even if it is a bit weird watching him with an American accent! ;)

what? hes not american? no one can be that arrogant and not american! =P

its a pretty good show, my GF got me watching it, although we havent watched any new episodes in like a year.

it was interesting in the beginning, but (like 24), it fell into the classic TV formula. when he thinks he has a brilliant idea to solve the problem, but its only half way through the show, you know something ridiculous is going to happen and that his theory is wrong. (or in 24, when jack confronts the guy who has all the answers, but theres still 6 hours left in the day, you know he's about to die, again usually in a ridiculous scenario, since we know that problems are only solved in the last 5 minutes of jack's days).

IMHO this horse has been beat to death. there are 23894726342638 crime dramas on US TV that follow this 1 hour problem solving formula, and its very tiring (one example, a new show called The Mentalist, which isnt that bad, stars a British actor with an american accent. =D). 24 was unique in the beginning, since it was technically a mini-series, but someone needs to come up with a better formula already. HBO can do entire seasons of shows where problems are never solved, and the viewer remains interested (examples: entourage, flight of the conchords, in treatment, summer heights high, true blood [this one was rather disappointing, but the others were brilliant]) why cant regular networks?

TV could be alot better if it was even vaguely similar to real life, where there isnt instant resolution of conflict.

btw, i promise, one day, i will make a post that stays on topic and does not turn into a rant. =D

Nah there pretty good some of these rants ;)

I watched the first two episodes of Series 1 yesterday and it sounds like it could be a good show, Hugh Laurie has his moments in it!

Is every episode about some mystery illness, Dr House then thinks the patient is going to die but they end up perfectly ok? That’s what I’ve gathered from the first two episodes anyway.
