Hi everyone! I have an old PSP 1004 which shows me RSoD when booted. However I can enter Recovery Menu, therefore I believe it is possible fix the thing. I just have no idea how to do so. Can anybody help me?

I did what the reddit page told me and it works! Thanks a lot!

For now I decided to install CFW on 6.20 and it works fine. But I really would like to go on 6.60-6.61. If you don't mind, can you please provide a bit of help with installing hacked 6.61? The last thing I now want is to make some stupid mistake to ruin all I have done.

Right now I am on 6.20 and when I try to install 6.60 as the first post tells I get this error: "The system configuration of this PSP does not appear to be correct...(DRNFFFFFFCD).

    What should I do?

From what i gather its to do with some keys been corrupt from downgrading, as your PSP was on a higher firmware originally than the one you recovered it with. That said Hellcats Recovery Flasher doesn't work with 6.60 from the point of been able to flash it, what I gather so i'm not totally sure what the solution is here. It seems at some point Hellcats Recovery Flasher was been updated to support later firmwares, however that doesn't have seem to of been released: https://twitter.com/therealhellcat/status/197624190021537792

Hello! I'm new on this forum and on the psp homebrewing scene as well.
Thanks to you, InsaneNutter, I am on my way to achieve my childhood dream of installing cfw on my two psp's!
I was wondering about something: if i dump a umd from my usa (ntsc) psp and I wanted it to play on the European (pal) PSP, will it work?
Also, do the homebrew apps need to be in the same directories as the games?
    Thanks!
(sorry for my bad English, as I am neither American nor English:))
EDIT: All my psp's are on version 6.60, do i need to still update it?

Yes, the games will work on any PSP, so no problems there!

    Homebrews go in PSP/GAME folder
ISO's go in the ISO folder on the root of the memory stick.

I don't really see any benefit in updating if your on 6.60.

So are you are currently on the 2.60 firmware?

If so did you defiantly copy the 6.60 firmware over to the memory stick to update the PSP?

I used your link download the firmware unzip and copy the file name as on the screen shot. The memory stick only has this file

I found out where i went wrong, copied the eboot.psp file only to the memory stick instead of everything folders and all after unzipping to memory card and is now version 6.60. Just in case someone did the same.

You need to update to 6.61 which should remove the CFW. So you'd just install Pro-C2 again after updating.

I installed 6.60 on a PSP 300 but when i try 6.60 C2 or B10 it does the splash screen and then goes blank without bringing up the terminal text to complete the CFW install. Any ideas??

Based on what you said, does a psp verison v2.2 support making custom firmware permanent?

A PSP 2000 model that is not an 88 v3 version can be made permanent

Hey I have done as is on the page, got the firmware running and playing games on my psp street, I have a small enquiry I pressed triangle under the "memory stickā„¢" folder under games to play sum games and I saw a group content button, and there's folders like minis, pc engine and neo geo, what do they do and is it possible for me to play games for those with the emulators under the "I want emulators" section of this page,,, where do I put the emulators, into games? Into the ISO folder? Please let me know asap:-)
