FAQ: What can i get banned from Xbox Live for?

    Apparently you can also get banned from XBL for modding your Avatar...

    Playing legal Pre-release games ( games bought in a store before the official release ).
    That's what happend to me.

    Some more reasons someone will be banned for.

    Using accounts preloaded with microsoft points will result in console & profile ban.
    Modifying the avatar to different colors will result in profile ban.

    My question is that after i modded my xbox like u know a person did it for me and installed some games and xex menu, before that my console was brand new and i only played offline. Now i want to play with a modded console online. There are some tutorials on the internet with stealth servers and all that but they say u will actually get banned from live eventually and u will need a new kv. I am fairly new to the modding stuff and i wanted to clear my doubts before trying something. So my question is will i get banned after doing it? and what will the ban do?Will i need xbox live gold to play online still after playing on a modded console? I never connected my xbox after modding it to live. Plz help me by guiding me to these question. Should i do it?

    Yes you will get banned from Xbox Live eventually, meaning you can no longer connect. Its quite possible your profile will get banned also, so you would never be able to connect to Xbox Live with that profile again. This means if you got another 360 or newer console that profile would be useless for online play, meaning all your achievements / saves games would not be able to carry over to a newer Xbox One or Xbox Series console.

    It's not worth going online with a modded console if you care about achievements or your profile in my opinion, have a legit unmodified console for online play.

    What if i do not care about my profile achievements and make a new one to play when i get banned? Secondly, will i need to buy live gold to play online with my modded 360 or the stealth servers are enough?

    Then I guess getting banned is not an issue to you. Not sure on that, you would need to ask the people running the stealth server about that.
